@lorikkosova (let it have) check(ed) the pure compression of all pistons after 190TKM mostly the rings which provide a pre ssure seal beetween combustion chamber and the room of the crank shaft are well .. used .. otherwise your valves are deformed .. than also a compression check will indicate if there is a problem or not.

( pressure testing should be cheaper than changing parts just on a hunch )

@Cris7Yerly well, the bigger, the better is for non turbo versions... back to your questions: the 3.0 or i don't mind 1.8 is, how big the cylinder is... when your cylinder is bigger, you get more torque and power... now, if you have a turboed car, your cylinder gets more air. now, your fuel-air mix can explode heavier... so, the turbo imitates a bigger cylinder...

Test drove an A4 3.0 quattro (2004) and it was terrible. No finesse in the chassis and over 4000rpm at 95 mph!!! With your hand on the gear stick it was rough as anything. Car is sloooow for what it is. Then went and tested a 330i BMW - left a deposit and picked it up next day ;-)

The 3.0 sounds and feels so much better than the 1.8. The smaller engine is ok if you drop about $2 grand into upgrades, but for great all around performance and reliability, the 3.0 rocks.

Regardless of which engine you get though, if you're driving an Audi, you'll be smiling whenever you get behind the wheel and drive.

hatte den s-line aber der kämpft trotzem gegen sein Gewicht. ein RX-8 hat nicht nur ein besseres sportfahrwerk und rund 400 kg weniger, sondern liegt auch viel besser auf der fahrbahn. Aber gegen die Vollaustattung von Audi und das Komfortable Fahrwerk hat ein RX-8 keine Chance. Audi an sich ist Top. ;-)
