Well there was one thing I wanted to see in this video that wasn't in it, do you think you could upload a video that shows the town decorations? (stuff like watermills street lamps and stuff like that) I mean the stuff you pay to be built around your town that you can also remove when you want to, because I haven't seen any videos of those yet.
Can you go to a e+ town in the one that was released here? What I'm saying is that you can travel towns with 2 Memory Cards, and I want to go to a e+ town in Animal Crossing.
Yeah I just now ordered a Japanese Wii, this will be my first game. My only question is with the holidays though. Even though they copied a lot from Animal Crossing, did the Japanese Animal Forest Holidays get transferred over also?
@GeoThermalSleuth Yeah, I'm pretty sure some of the holidays were brought back into e+, and there's certainly some new stuff. I'll check out some of the holidays to make sure, and maybe even upload a video of them. Doubutsu no Mori e+ is definitely my favorite game of the whole series. =3
Ah, nice observation. I hadn't noticed that before.
I'm guessing this has to do with Animal Crossing, the one game in the series not released inside Japan. The series was originally not going to be brought out of Japan, but a team at Nintendo of America took Doubutsu no Mori-e took it and reworked the town layouts to be more westernized, translated it, and removed holidays and added a ton of events and holidays to the game. [... Continuing in new comment, running out of room. XD]
Impressed with the work on Animal Crossing, Nintendo of Japan used it as a basis for the next game in the Doubutsu no Mori series, e+. It's likely they missed a few things, such as the "Nook's Cranny" text when re-localizing it and adding all the new stuff in for e+.
Anyways, to put it short, Doubutsu no Mori e+ was based off of Animal Crossing, which used English-language textures for some signs and items, and NoJ must have forgotten to replace them. =P
When you were hitting the door of Nook's store, did that trick get put over into Animal Crossing for the American release? Or is it only in Animal Forest?
its weird how there's no kanji, in any of the conversation.. i could see some of that getting a little confusing... but this looks pretty cool, i've never seen the n64 version..you might of just convinced me though to stop by playasia some time soon..
There is some Kanji, but not much... It's probably due to the game being made for more younger players. It's nice for people like me who only know a few hundred Kanji, though. XD
I'd recommend getting the game.. It's pretty fun. Though, if you've played Doubutsu no Mori +, you may find it a bit boring, since this game is basically DnM+ with more stuff added in (though I still got it anyways and enjoyed it. =p )
i have the game but not the janess or whatever kind.lucky.the only bad part for me is i cant find my game of animal crossing.:( and i dont under stand japaness or somthing.
i m soo sad you know how hard been doing!but lucky for you.so good luck!
Its is very similar to Animal Crossing, though it has a lot of additional content. More characters (I think about 10), more bugs and fish (also about ten each), and a few other miscellaneous things such as being able to go into Nook's shop after closing time, more furniture (I have no idea how much yet), the ability to use e+ cards.
The reason it only has a few extra updates is probably because Animal Crossing was never released in Japan,
I thought I posted a reply to this already.. Weird. >>
Anyways, you're correct, Doubutsu no Mori +, Animal Crossing, and Doubutsu no Mori e+ all used the content from Doubutsu no Mori, though it was improved on a lot. A lot more characters, clock improvements, more events, Famicom & NES games, etc.
This isn't the Nintendo 64 game, this is the third Nintendo GameCube Doubutsu no Mori game. They all look a lot alike, though. =P (There have been five Doubutsu no Mori games so far:
Doubutsu no Mori (N64, Japan-only)
Doubutsu no Mori + (GCN, Japan-only)
Animal Crossing (Everywhere but Japan)
Doubutsu no Mori e+ (GCN, Japan-only)
Oideyo Doubutsu no Mori/Animal Crossing: Wild World (Everywhere) )

No, it is only in Doubutsu no Mori e+. Animal Crossing was the game right before it, so it has a lot less than e+. =)

Oh, ok. I was only going by what I saw them say about this game on Gamefaqs. They do tend to mix up thier game information.
