  • The surgery was done after she finished Victor/Victoria, so this was the last thing she did before she lost her singing voice. She did great for her age, 60.

  • fantastic video but her voice does sound a bit be-draggled here almost like the vocal nodules are starting to grow on her throat. most interesting video. thanks

  • Oh, she sounds so off, the poor girl... Why did this stuff happen to Julie Andrews? Why couldn't it have happened to some one who was completely tone deaf and didn't care if they lost their voice?

  • @emmadilemmasings I ask God that question everyday. The world and Gods ways are a mystery to us all. Its s sad world.

  • she was sick here. its before her surgery but she was just sick here

  • this was after her throat mishap right?

  • @CUF17 just before.

  • Pro!!! She can deliver BIG theatre and the finesse required for camera .....total Pro!!!

  • STAR!

  • The lady delivers!

  • her voice does sadly sound a bit strained in parts but she still performs like a star! I saw her in May in London and she was soooo amazing!

  • wow this is just amazing....thankyou

  • Amazing!!! <3

    Thanks so much for sharing!

  • Julie Andrews is an icon!! I pro!! A musical genius!!

I will forever and always love her!!

  • i love this song, and i love julie andrews performing it...to me she is the only one who does it justice...having said that, i agree, in the nineties she really was showing her age vocally, and its sad to see such a legend not sing to her potential.

  • Watching this is very sad, this is probably the last time she performed properly to a live audience. How tragic.

  • You know, I don't think the gentleman sings very well either at the opening of the number....hmm maybe it wasn't a very well done show that evening in general ?

  • Also, when did she have that surgery on her throat ??

  • Julie fell very ill and that's why Liza took over the role, maybe that's why she doesn't sound that great in this number, LMorgan. That's just my guess anyway...

  • Thanks for sharing this. It's great to see one more performance of this great number!

  • I think Julie sounds horrid in this--not singing, she is speak-singing, her voice is very tired and very worn out and weak. She is all over the place vocally. This is a mess!

  • Can you imagine dancing with Julie Andrews to this song on Broadway!?!?!?!

  • Thanks SO MUCH for this...Dancing along at home on a mini-trampoline...try it!!! awesome

  • I think Barbra was clever enough not to make a comeback to Broadway with "Funny Girl".

  • This is amazing!

  • cool

  • Thanksss

  • GGGGGGGGGGGGOOOOOOOODDDDDDDDD & THKS from france.......
