  • I believe it's better to have the EQ and speaker separate components. Which is why Marshall makes some of the best amps ever.

  • ew, traynor

  • I loooooove watching such videos

  • Yes but, Will it blend ? :))

  • I had to take a crap before watching it , was dissapointed the explaination was not deeper in to the electronic theory.

oh well , it was still good.

  • tube amps <3

  • i can make a first act at my house! bitches!! oh jimmy nice!! portitos !! johns poor

  • I've heard some solid state and digital stuff that doesn't sound bad, or sounds really nice. But its it's own sound, not that cream you'd hear pouring out of Jimi's stack. Downside of valves... At low volumes, there's not a huge amount of difference between them and SS. The low volume, preamp distortion in 80's Marshalls (like the 2205 / 2210) comes from a silicon diode if I remember right. Plexis being silicon free need to be at 11 for the power stage to distort. Even Jimi used SOME SS (pedals)

  • I like the vid and all, but tell me this; what exactly is an 'electrical guitar'?

  • @deathrib It is a guitar with a wire for you to plug into your amp

  • Comment removed

  • @merkur32123 I was responding to the commentator on the video calling our subject an 'electrical guitar' as opposed to 'electric guitar'.

  • people still use tubes?? why?? i think transistors are better!

  • @lawnside82 some people mean it sounds better, more soft... some just dont hear any difference ;o

  • @lawnside82 You must like very heavy metal or jazz then. A guitar amp just lacks the tones and harmonics of your guitar if it has transistors rather than tubes. Theres a reason tubes are the number one form of amplification. All that emulation crap in solid state amps just ruins your sound.

  • @lawnside82 idiot......tubes have more dynamic response, butter harmonics, a warmer tone, and dnt lose their tone at higher volumes, which transistir amps do. In fact, the most expensicve and best sounding amps for metal (mesa, engl, framus, bogner) ARE ALL TUBE AMPS

  • @lawnside82

i bet that you never played a fucking electric guitar in your life to compare a tube amp to a transistor amp

  • @lawnside82 The reason tubes are still used is because of their tonal characteristics. Tubes are able to better amplify harmonic frequencies that solid state components can't. Transistors usually emulate a 'tinny' sound as compared to the warmer sound of tube amps. I suppose it just depends on the amount of money you wish to spend, because tube driven amps are expensive, and always due to the transformers used in them.

  • electrical guitar...

  • Traynor fisherprice amp

  • Tube amps really rock's since they were the oldest

  • Looks like there are still a lot of crazy nuts out there who think tubes sound better than transistors.

  • That's because My Full Tube Orange head will rock harder anything you can throw at it. Any day of the week. Vacuum tubes produce a much better sound than solid. Before i also have a vox AD15VT. It's pre-amp12AX7 allows it to have a much fuller distortion than most of the other solid state amps. Tube's are best, end of story.

  • Yes tubes are best when you want more distortion, I agree with you on that, so, cheers!

  • @stickyjeans69 I bet my all tube b-52 head rocks harder ;)

  • @mopheadthe3rd B52 vs Orange? Ha-Hah-Hah

  • @redberon2003 ... notice the "winky-face" but ya, it may not sound the same, but my personal prefrence is for the much heavier gritty high gain soun, not as much of the classic rock tone that the orange offers,.....why pay $1500+ when u can get a sound ALMOST as good as one that was $699....u may think its wirth it but i dont....just my opinion ;)

  • @Sub40H unfortunately for you, they DO sound better

  • Tubes Rule!

  • So do condoms!

  • Traynor amps ROCK

  • Im not a fan of the dip soldering on these amps. Unfortunately its used too often these days and it leads to cold solder joints. Since the larger components don't have time to heat up enough to get a perfect fusion.

    Excellent video though.

  • Yeah...only one preamp tube. Those YCV50 Blue amps sound like Marshalls on steroids. Great amps.

  • there are 3 pre-amp tubes!! they only show 1 in this vid but there are 3. You can even see where their placed at 3:23 the 2 big circles represent the 2 power tubes and the 3 white circles to the right are the 3 pre tubes (and it tells u how their hooked up)

  • that gave me aids

  • wow only one preamp tube??

  • electrical guitar? wtf i hate it when people stay stuff like that. like fuckin "electronical" and shit

  • Electronicalistic

  • Man I would love to work at that place. That through-hole auto placement machine is amazing. I didn't even know they existed. I could use some of the equipment too for electronics projects. I should go into production. ^_^

  • No you wouldnt. You obviously have never done piece/line work.

It is the most boring job imaginable. Imagine doing the exact same thing hundreds or thousands of times a day. Its hell.

  • true, but if he does it then it means we wont have to :P, let the man do it if he wants to :)

  • I have one of these new Traynors, great amp for the money, and FYI i would not choose to use a transistor amp over a tube amp...unless i was plugging in a piezo or for bass or vox, then transistors win hands down, but always tubes for electric guitar, for the good breakup

  • what is that last song hes playing????

  • some kind of blues

  • Sometimes people don't play just songs.. sometimes you just play.

  • finally someone gets playing guitar

  • oooh, they've got tube sockets on the board, not as good.

  • You obviously aren't a musician.

  • what does being a musician have that much to do with knowing about tube amps, and yes having sockets on the board isn't as good cause if you toast the tubes, they could burn the board or you could break em while taking em out.

  • Anybody who knows anything about guitar amps will tell you that tube amps are far superior to solid state.

  • anyone who knows what I'm talking about would know that I never said anything about solid states being better. And yes I know tube amps are better, I own one.

  • It's personal preference. Neither one is any better than the other. They just have a different sound.

  • You obviously misinterpreted what he said.

  • love that warm tube sound

  • sweet tone
