  • canopy got little problem and it's beautiful!!

  • Nice one bro(trust you to have done a TA 183 lol)this is the next scratch build project for my nazi secret weapons/1st encounter diorama:)Great build btw.

  • @NineInchRear1 Thanks... One day I will get this in 1/48 scale, I like the look of the Ta-183 as it is a reasonably modern looking aircraft, and many of the 1950 type jets have borrowed stuff from its design.. Looking forward to seeing your diorama. I will however spend a lot of time OFF YouTube, so please make sure to let me know when you post any videos.. The week after next will be spent in London, I won't be home at all.. :(

  • Build one that flys !Any one can do plastic, they are school boys .

  • @Taildragger2411 Well, that shows how clueless you are. :)

  • Hey I really liked the paint job, about the T 183´s history the truth is also the F86 Sabre was also derived from the T 183 as well as the Pulqui II. Every country had they´r own development in jet´s matters, but things like sweep wing and tail were borrowed from Tank´s aircraft (too advanced concept for high speeds no one else could achieve before the Germans). Don´t take my comment as an aggression I just love planes and really liked your video. Keep posting

  • @Nefariusi Aggression?? Oh no, not at all.. I'm grateful for any info that will increase my knowledge... :)

  • The Father of the MIG 15

  • @RobSar63 Yes, and a few other jets too, no doubt.. German technology was very advanced, but the end of the war put a stop to all that..

  • is that def lepperd i hear

  • @IAMDEATH2010 That depends on how loud you have your speakers.. :)

  • @BasicModelling not very but def lepperd have a very distinct sound and i think that was the sound of which deff lepperd play.

decided on who wins the contest yet????????? cant wait to find out!!!!!!

  • @IAMDEATH2010 I can't remember and the video won't play for me.. but I think so, anyway.. :)

  • @BasicModelling deff leppard, i may only be 14 but i sure know my way around some good 80's metal.

takes me to my utopia it does

  • @IAMDEATH2010 Glad to know you have a good taste in music. :) Would use more of this stuff, but the Copy-trolls will no doubt come after me if I do..

  • @BasicModelling cant stand that new age stuff. all it is is noise.

  • @IAMDEATH2010 Agreed! :)

  • that almost looks lik the F-86 Sabre. I made one of those out of paper n put a rocket laucher n fired it

  • @MexicanGamerz Did it fly far?? :)

  • @BasicModelling jaja it fly up n backfired n blew up near us. The back wings were lose so it turned it around n brought it back

  • At the end of WW2 Kurt Tank went to Argentina and completed the project. The plane didn't fly too well with a short fuselage and the huge vertical fin didn't quite fix the problem. The next planes in the series were the MiG 15 and 17 which used four and six rails on the wings to maintain stability in yaw. There are still MiG 17s flying and if allowed to explore the envelope will astound you.

  • @petie32 Some claim planes like the Saab J29 Tunnan also was based on the idea of this plane and other German research.. :)

  • nice work. really like the results.

  • \m/!!! Huckebein Rocks!!! Luft 46 and Metal!!! YEAHHHHHHHH!

  • @SASORI5140 Agreed.. :)

  • @BasicModelling do you have Ar E 381 Julia??

    Cool Jet too!!

    i love Ba 349 Natter E 381 Julia and Ar 234C3

also i love almost ALL LUFT 46

let,s be friends! i am modeller too

    1/72 1/48 etc

  • @SASORI5140 I don't think I have any of those kits, but a Natter is definetely on the list to buy at some point.. :)

  • Sweet used to sound way better, i´m old enough to know! :-(

  • @BigAndTall666 That's because you were younger then, no doubt.. :)

  • even thought it's not and eggplane it sure does

  • @Aerolseventh It sure does what?? :)

  • @BasicModelling I'll rephrase it: even though it's not an eggplane it sure does look one. heheh sorry :):)

  • @Aerolseventh Ha ha ha ha.. yes, it is a bit odd.. :)

  • what a strange little fighter, i never saw this as a kit before :/, i know what she was intended to be, but as the normal luftwaffe projects.....they were too late.

  • @Ezza190 Yes.. I think there's a couple of better, more detailed kits in 1/48.. but this is pretty much it in 1/72.. :)

  • @BasicModelling yeah, practically sometimes you cant get many ''Luft 46'' Aircraft in any different scale than 1/72, but when you see one, then i suppose you take the chance and buy it :)

  • @Ezza190 I have a few more Luft'46 kist to build, but right now I'm not quite in the mood to make one, rather preferring the actual planes that flew.. I'm also trying to fit in another Hurricane, while the 'Battle of Britain' anniversary is still ongoing.. :) That will be in 1/48, as I have already built quite a few Hurris in 1/72.. :)

  • It´s a real jet isn´t it ? I´m always surprised how far in future the German technik was at that time. Ein Duesenjaeger ( Jet ). Not that I´m patriotic with this mad era and the silly world war - I´m only astonished what they could develop in the late 30s and 40s....

Beautiful little model and funny name "Huckebein" - never heard before.

  • @crazyurmel2 It only made it to paper.. and a couple of wooden mock-ups.. :) But some say the Russian MiG-15 and the Swedish Saab J29 Tunnan, amongst others, were based on the drawings of this plane.. so in a way it came to reality after the war, in a slightly different guise! The Germans had a remarkable hight technology standard, and the Allied equipment was in many ways inferior.. the difference was that the US especially could replace every shot down plane and shot up tank with 100's more..

  • ..whereas Germany could not.. and at the end of the day, that's what decided the outcome of the war, in my opinion.. at least it was a main factor to the outcome..

  • @BasicModelling 100% my opinion - and I´m glad that we lost the war - our country and society became a much better than with all the nazi leaders and ideology - today (and also in the 60s when I grew up) it´s not to imagine that Hitler had such a big folk in his hand . His mad hypnotic power will keep a secret. I only remember from the old ppl at that time and my grandparents etc.. that he was for them a VERY likable and friendly "father person". They liked (more loved) him really.

  • it doesn't even fly '________________________'

  • @sanderlazer It is flying.. in many different guises, even today..

  • I dont even know if they make kits of it, but It'd be really neat to see you do a triebflugel! Love the Luft46 stuff!

  • @sergeant137 You can buy a kit in 1/72 scale, and I nearly did.. until I found out the price!! It was too expensive, otherwise I would have bought and built one ages ago.. :) I'm gradually getting myself into the mood for another Luft'46.. but at the moment I'm having a spell of building some Saab J35 Draken, with 3 on the go right now.. :)

  • @BasicModelling I can see that... I love the Lil' Draken especially, I guess it's oddities like that off which I thrive

  • @sergeant137 I take it you have seen my 'LillDraken' video?? That resin kit was very expensive too, even dearer than the Triebflugel.. but I wanted an interesting resin kit to practise on, as I'm not used to building much resin stuff at all.. :)

  • the TA-183 III and Messerschmitt P.1101

is the father of Mig-15 and F-86 Sabre

  • @ozeangruen Yes, so people claim.. :) The Saab J-29 Tunnan was also based on German designs.. :)

  • @BasicModelling right!

  • I just got this kit and Will soon start building it, but I was wondering how you made the "spotted" camouflage that is seen in the middle of the fuselage?

  • @Builingeverything Please watch my 'ACADEMY 1/72 Bf 109 E-4 - A Building Review' video, and you'll see how I did it.. :) You should find it easy enough on my channel, I only posted it a short while ago.. :)

  • Looks like the father of the Saab J-29

  • That is possible! Some claim it to be the father of the MiG-15 too.. :)

  • ahhh am sure that the famous MIG 15 is a copy of this little boy!!

  • Yes, that's what the rumours claim.. :)

  • Filler is a soft material, also known as putty, that you can put in gaps and cracks.. You should be bale to buy it from any well sorted model shop, or on te internet.. :) It comes in different grades, from very course to extra fine.. I prefer the fine myself.. :)

  • It's easier to sand smooth.. :)

  • Didn't notice this.. Sweet build! And GREAT painting on the camoflague!

I have myself wanted to build one of these, and will probably get a Tamiya 1/48 one, once..

But how on earth did you do the camoflague THAT great??

  • Will you believe me if I say its BRUSHPAINTED ACRYLICS?? Xtracrylics, to be exact.. Sometimes it works really well, and sometimes it doesn't..

    ...this time it did!!

  • But.. what was your approach??

  • Apporoach?? I have to dash, need to be at work in less than an hour.. but explain what you mean, and I'll reply tomorrow.. :) :) Good night.. :)

  • Sorry, I got confused with my Lippich.. The Huckebein may have been handbrushed with Humbrol enamels.. :) Sorry..

  • Thanks for making this. I am about to start on this kit, and it is good to see your photos in anticipation of trouble areas.

I just finished the PM Lippisch P.13a and boy that had some bad fitting. And the canopy was way undersized.

  • Yes, I made a video of the Lippisch P. 13a, but sadly I no longer have that video, it was posted on another channel.. I remember having to make a 'frame' for the canopy, and adding extra plastic card to the back, to get the canopy to fit.. It's not as if the cock-pit is superdetailed, and you can have the canopy open.. :P mI hope Revell will re-issue their kit in 1/48 scale, that's a model I'd love to make.. :)

PM Models kits are quite basic, but you can get a good model from them.. :)

  • How did you apply the dots of green when you did the camoflage? (under the cockpit)

  • I brushpainted it very carefully.. or rather 'stippled' it with a cut off brush.. :)

  • Comment removed

  • NOT BAD!

  • Thank you... :)

  • Dude this looks horrible.

  • The German designs were always meant to look a bit nasty! :)

  • Actually the design looks is sweet. I am building only german airplanes from WWI and WWII.

When I said that it looks horribe I ment that the builder should put more effort in this thing.

  • I see.. :)

  • i saw this kit in the model shop in whitstable the other day but i bought a 1:72 airfix sunderland instead, a kit i have always wanted to do. I still need to paint it though, i have only paited the bombs, the cockpit and the propellers.

  • I nearly bought the Sunderland when I went to Hannants.. It's a kit I've been wanting to do for a long time too, but one day I will.. looking forward to seeing yours.. :)

  • it will be hard to paint the whole thing, im gonna try and get help from my dad! :)

  • How are you getting on with the Sunderland?? :)

  • my cat had kittens and the little cheeky buggers knocked it on the floor far to many times

it lies on my bedroom floor in pieces now :(

  • Ah, that's a shame.. I'm yet to buy and build one.. but I will, one day.. :)

  • I liked the way you did the step by step for us. So this is the basis for the Soviets MiG15. I was not aware of this jet. Too bad this wasn't a Finnish swastika debate, I could have joined in - oh well lol :)

  • Ha ha.. yes.. :) KurtGnu has videos of a similar kind, very similar, actually.. :)

  • Luft at first sight...

  • Very intense video! I have to buy one of these!

Nice finish, was it from imagination or the instructions (B/W as always :()

    T.Hanks much Lee.

In 'Heinz' sight those krauts should have made the tail surfaces MUCH larger.

    Spitfire response coming soon....

  • The kit instructions shows a similar scheme, but this was my idea as such.. I'd love to do an attack version as well, with bombs.. :) As for the intensity, that's much down to the music, but as it's my sons computer I have to trawl for suitable music in his 'archive'.. :)

  • Ahh it all makes more sense gnow! I take it he likes metal then?

  • Yes.. this is the more acceptable range of his music taste, though.. :P

  • ouch

  • Mangnificent specimen. I have seen this one fly... er.. a model. So it could have worked... on the other hand I have seen a real size 'model' lawnmower fly so it isn't very conclusive.

You have the swastika on the tail tilted. Unlike with the way you align them on the wings I believe it should be real horizontal or 45 degrees vertical to the ground. I think it would make this one perfect.

  • Didn't you know that the Luftwaffe tilted their swastikas from June 1945 onwards.. ?? It's a well known fact..:)

  • In Germany kits are delivered without swastikas, sometimes you find kits where they are cut out from the sheets. Afaik from june 45 onwards Luftwaffe planes wore the swastika not tilted, but on the inner side of the fin...

  • Oh, don't you start.. :D :D I think it's a shame that the Allies simply destroyed all the magnificent planes that they found, instead of putting them to good use! I guess they just couldn't admit that Germany overall had much better aircraft..:)

  • I know Yup... I meant it isn't at a 45 degree angle.. just 40. So it is alighned to the tail.

With the horizontal I mean it should be angled to the horizontal line of the plain.

Now when your plain is flying the swastika isn't at a 45 degree angle. I should learn to make myself more clear. ;-)

I could be wrong but evidence on other plains sugests that is how it is alligned on most other war plains.

  • Yes, I agree.. but this is a Luft 46 plane, so as nobody knows what it really should look like I took the liberty to use some artistic creativity.. :) After all, when Galland took over after Goring as Reichmarshall des Luftwaffes, he implimented all thse changes.. after Great Britain was defeated and America surrended.. :)

  • Historic fiction is a source of endless discussion without any way of proving right or wrong.

You are the master in this so. This is the way it is. The standard has been set >;-)

  • Wow, I wish I could build models as good as that! This is pure genius.. :)

  • ;_))))) I think it's time to see a medic....

  • I have.. and he said I built nice models too.. :)

  • haw hsa haw hahahahahaa ho ho

  • Boom boom.. :)

  • Rakadakadakadakadakadakadakadakadaka, schreeeeeow. KaPOW!

  • is that how you spell it? :P

  • Only the English spelling in Swedish they say Surströkablammung (Exploding herring) ;p

  • HA HA HA HA HA HA.. That was the best laugh I've had today.. oh dear me.. hahahahahaha.. and then some.. I'm off the computer in a minute, my son will be home.. :)

  • Quick scarper!
