I'm Italian/Sicilian and that is by far the worst lasagne I have ever, ever seen!! I've never seen anyone put ricotta in what ever kind of mixture you put it in... Who taught you how to do this?
my dear,, you are horrible to do this,,,, you could be good at hypnotize people and make they go to sleep.... please next time just speed up,,, dont try to entertain because you have no talent for it,,, im sorry but i had to be honest,,,, good luck next time,,,,
I'm not sure I understand the difference between the regular pot cheese and ricotta, then. I understand that ricotta is made from whey, what is in this video is called pot cheese or cottage cheese, I've been making for years... I guess I have been making ricotta =) Just does not takes like it =) Really looking for a recipy to cook real ricotta and use up all that whey that I have left over(kinda of tired of the crepes that I end up making on whey)
I made ricotta cheese .I used lemon juice to make it curdle because I couldn't find any buttermilk and it turned out pretty good and made more cheese from the whey, it was even better. I must have been beginners luck because I tried it again and it burned some on the bottom of the pan, so it was no good. What an expensive waste.
Ricotta is made by cooking (ri-cotta, re-cooked) the whey left over from making sheep's cheese. Trust me, I know what I'm talking about: I'm Italian and my grandmother has been making ricotta for decades.
Thank you Betty! I am adding this recipe to my Food Storage recipes. I esp like that you didn't use any expensive equipement but used for the most part items we already have in our home. Thanks again,

Maybe I was too much in a hurry.

Why does this thing curdle? Because of the salt, the buttermilk??

@Kazzzzzo ...because of the acid in the buttermilk

That was awesome! I didn't catch how long you hang the cheese to dry out. Have you ever made your own pasta?
Thanks for sharing!!!
