Buddy did so good! I was looking for a video to see how anyone used electric clippers to take down the length of a bichon, which we also own. She seems hot now that it's summer. Now that she's bathed and combed out I'll be trying out clippers for the first time. I hope she does as well as Buddy!

When his hair gets that long, it definitely gets matted and I had to cut those out at the beginning of the video. He gets baths and a good brushing about once a month which helps. Thanks for your inquiry.

I believe Buddy is part Maltese, which gives him straighter hair than a Bichon.

I used to groom dogs, and that dog is on ludes, or if not, at least some kind of doggie valium or xanex!

Buddy is 100% Drug Free, however he's a little afraid of the height of the Dryer, so he remains calm.

It was just a figure of speech, just never seen a dog that mellow, even my old golden retriever/lab cross! I think he should have been called "marshmallow" lol!

Again your video did not disappoint... I do our Clara's grooming too, especially when she was a puppy and got a real poor mohawk that I could have even done better, although I never have... We enjoy that time together. Buddy is cute with both looks!

very good cliperwork! im impressed. I am a dog groomer and i think you did a wonderful job, but next time dont clip the face. He would look sooo cute w/more hair there. use straight scissors to shape the head. i would never use clippers on the head. Umm...you might find it useful to get a grooming table although it looks like the dryer works well. what # blade do you use?

I am Buddy's own personal groomer! He's had one professional grooming when I was recovering from Leukemia, and the rest we learned how together. My girlfriend let me shave her kitty recently and it turned out great, so maybe I'm on to something?
