  • Everybody point and laugh at the religious nutbag trying to sell his snake oil on campus.

  • While evangels piss me off as much as the next asshole trying to shove their shit down my throat, the professor is still an asshole as well! And an arrogant one at that!

  • @un4g1v3n1 Good! He got the point across!

  • I love UCLA :)

  • So, the professor speaks while standing comfortably, while the christian moves around like a badly animated cartoon character... I mean, based on body language alone, you can tell one of them is comfortable while the other is compensating. That bible thumper knows he's selling lies or he wouldn't feel the need to dance around like that to distract you.

  • Fuck christianity. Fucking lambs.

  • watch?v=Ela3ChTzFcA

  • Religion is an old concept when we didn't understand how the natural world really worked.

If you choose religion as your path, you also choose to live in ignorance and in fear of not living forever.

If we want our civilization to survive and flourish then we need to stop being scared all the time if we need to embrace the nature of reality. And we need to STOP PRETENDING that we are a part of a divine purpose and that we’re going to be reward with eternal bliss.

  • Religion is for retards.

  • I just came here for the comments ....lol

  • I TEACH LOGIC MOTHER FUCKER!

  • I found the young preacher to have srange body movements during his spiel. I've seen it before in a person with OCD and alternative sexual tendancies. I also found it interesting that the college professor was uncomfortable when asked if he believed in god - his quick retaliation indicates he is probably quite confliced about it. Overall, very interesting clip.

  • the hell he denies gravity and said that if God wills he slams on the floor he slams the floor and he brings logic to this "God", so according to him 2+2= can or will not equal 4 if God wills it...yeah tell that to the starving children in Africa.

  • Lol i heard sirens at the end

  • He would have proved his point if he had jumped off the building & splattered on the sidewalk. Do it faggot.

  • I love how he walks forward when he's talking, and then throws his arms up and walks back when he's done. Reminds me of someone during a rap battle :P

  • i teach logic motherfucker ...

  • Logic mother fucker...do you speak it?

  • This was the more funny as the teacher is English.....At least in England we have Charles Darwin on our currency....not 'in god we trust'. Really it should say 'in the flying spaghetti monster we trust'

  • If religious people had any balls at all, and really believed their heaven was there and thats where live really begins, then they should take their own lives. The very fact that they do not PROVES they don't really believe in heaven, or that they live forever.

Regardless, they are holding the rest of society back and have been for thousands of years. Its time for them to put up or shut up, and again I state if they think heaven is real and thats where life really begins, THEN GO THERE.

  • @aegisgfx Except in some of the "big" religions, suicide is wrong in most cases. Holding back society? Some of the greatest scientific/mathematical advancements were achieved by Muslim and Christian scholars working together during the Middle Ages. Lighten up.

  • @WildWestBudgie Dude they achieve that because of enlightenment which is the good of religion, the bad is that most religions causes fear and doubt and is full of supersition, other then that it also causes conflict or rather a "better" excuse for it.

  • Why does he keep stepping forward and bending down? Does he have ADHD or something?

  • My guess: applications for his logic class doubled the next semester.

  • did he say...based god?

  • HARD PWNED

  • "i teach logic motherfucker" = appeal to authority fallacious argument

  • @xincognitoakumax The Christian brought it up "you don't believe in logic"

  • @xincognitoakumax "I teach logic, mother fucker!" = DA BOSS

  • college professors hate the constitution...especially "naturalized" american professors/teachers...schools just love shitting on it...if any of these people had any kind of sense they would've let the crazy guy do his preaching then go home. clearly none of the people seen in this video have anything better to do.

  • did the guy at the end say something about going off the top of a building and splattering all of the sidewalk? isn't that suicide and an instant ticket to hell?

  • I teach Logic, Muthafucka!

  • Fuck all the angry Atheists... thats why I say I'm a Secular Humanist... This guy is WRONG in the way he's teaching Christianity... But how dare you fucking deny that true Christians are really good people. They help communities, the homeless and their goal is basically to do good and help others and live good lives. YES its in the name of their God but so what.... Are you that fucking hateful with EVERYONE who has a different belief than you?....

  • @TrueIrishJuggalo

No,you have no chance to use logic and common sense with Athiests...

Just make up random facts and make fun of everyone,.That way they will understand.

  • @quatroportte I'm an Atheist... i just call myself something different... We're not ALL like those people.... but god damn I HATE the ones that are.... but please man, don't generalize all Atheists

  • @quatroportte I can't tell if you are a master troll, or just incredibly dumb. Atheists base their lives on logic, which is the reason they deny the existence of God. Any theist religion bases its teachings purely on speculation and "faith", the polar opposite of logic. And in regards to your previous statement, nobody on this planet believes the big bang is a fact. It is a theory supported by extensive testing and research, supported by evidence gathered over the years, unlike religions.

  • @quatroportte Logic and rationality are unassociated with atheism, though the two often cross paths.

On the other hand, logic and rationality are by definition excluded in matters of religious faith.

  • @Lyinginbedmon now your starting an argument between atheism and religion... no wonder why you get no where in discussions...

  • @DMChester12 I'm not, I'm disputing a statement made by quatroportte where he suggests logic and common sense are meaningless to atheists when the two are entirely unrelated.

  • @TrueIrishJuggalo True Christians, who follow the Bible, are awful people. Luckily there haven't been many, if any, true Christians for at least a couple centuries.

  • "Religious people, please die.."

And atheists pride themselves in the pursuit of peace. But I know from experience you're not representative of all atheists.. At least my friends have some humanity in them.

  • @nitronick389

I have also heard a lot of people that don't play soccer like to hit people up and rob them. That means that non soccer playing people are fucking shit.

Being an atheist simply means a disbelief in a god. That is it.

SOME christians, muslims, buddishst, hindus, jews, and so on in every religion are going to be bad. That is just how people are, cherry picking a bad person out of a group to represent that group is called cherry picking, and that is the wrong way to represent.

  • @nitronick389

hey if heaven is so great and they wanna be with jesus so bad, then go. I'm not advocating we kill them, but they should take their own lives if they think this world is so shitty and they are SO SURE that heaven is real. Go, hell if they had any balls at all, they would go and stop holding the rest of us back.

  • @nitronick389 You're right. You can't lump atheists into one group because we don't have one book that we claim to follow.

Atheism isn't a stance, it's an opinion on one question. Is there a God? No.

  • @nitronick389

I know it's wrong to tell someone to die, but guess what? Religion has more blood on it's hands than anything or anyone else.

  • @nitronick389 Saying that is so backwards of what atheists want, that's sad. I applaud you and your friends

  • @hunkgod First :D

  • I teach logic motherfucker... Now I'm going to steal your brief case full of bibles to help teach my logic class. Its pretentious pricks like that that think they are untouchable. Am I the only one that thinks that both of these guys are fucking idiots.

  • @asenterwe Yes, you are the only one.

  • @asenterwe pretty sure you are...

  • he needs to realize this only works with people who share the same dogma, like a church, not a pool of people on a campus

  • As much as I hate bigotry, you can't tell someone to get off of a campus (if it is a publicly-funded university) just because you disagree with them.

  • @patrick112590 uhhhh yeah you can.

  • @patrick112590 Yes you can. That's also freedom of speech. Did he use physical force?

  • @patrick112590 These kinds of demonstrations almost always devolve into gay bashing hate speech and it's always fear tactics. These things are booed by other Christians, rational people don't think that this is a healthy activity to take place on a campus.

  • "I don't know about you but I didn't see anyone steal anything, except that guys dignity" hahahhaah

  • omggg i believe in God with all my heart, soul, and mind, i also hate religion with all my heart soul and mind and these morons really make me pist off, like fuck, let people believe what they want, its not ur life to control. UGHHHH

  • 10/25/11 - 240p Doesn't compute.

  • Hm. Why is everyone cheering on the professor who stole something from another man and called him a "motherfucker".

  • He just took the briefcase! Genius!

  • @dwk0003 It's also stealing.

  • SMH my Pastor doesn't do this. I wish my fellow Christians could find a better way of going about spreading the word of God.let them know, if THEY don't want to hear leave it alone PLeeZ!

  • I find it comical that people are overlooking how the "hero" atheist professor stole the "evil" evangelist's property and called him a motherfucker. How low morals have fallen...

  • @WildWestBudgie Wars to protect thousands of people require that many soldiers be murdered. As one quickly learns from logical and rational thought, morals are not absolute, no specific activity is a "sin", it's all contextual.

  • @Lyinginbedmon Did I say sin? No. I said morals. 50 years ago, I HIGHLY doubt somebody would've called another man "motherfucker" in public and then proceed to steal his property because he doesn't agree with him. That's very childish and pathetic. .

  • @WildWestBudgie I grant harsh language should, at best, be avoided. But if instead of saying "stole" we said "confiscate" would it be so reprehensible to you?

Because that's what actually took place, he was disturbing the students of the university without any kind of permit or authorisation, at which point he became a trespasser and his suitcase was confiscated.

As Prof Scerri said, if the police were involved, the evangelist would have been escorted off the campus, not Scerri

  • @Lyinginbedmon Ok, I can agree with that. Regardless, is there a rule that says "if someone is trespassing, confiscate their stuff"?

  • @WildWestBudgie There is certainly no rule that says confiscation of property is directly warranted by trespassing, but the evangelist was refusing to leave UCLA grounds or co-operate with the authority figures of UCLA that were present (Prof Scerri). Therefore additional measures became warranted and the materials were confiscated.

  • @WildWestBudgie I don't doubt at all that that's what would have happened, except 50 years ago in the US the roles here would have likely been reversed.

  • Gotta admire this clown's determination to spread the word.

  • These preachers are an absolute pain in the arse. They're constantly harassing college students that really don't want to hear the preacher's bullshit.

The majority of college students use logic, reason, and scientific understanding. All this ridiculous religious crap just doesn't cut it for intelligent minds.

  • That Professor Is The Man.

  • i bet if the christian guy was making fun of atheists, all of those laughs would turn into boos and spitting spiteful messages.

  • Professor was just mean and nasty really. He didnt have to stand there and listen he could have just walked on. If he didnt want him there why didnt he just call the police like he said? Because he couldnt. Because he wasnt causing a scene the professor was. And he stole the mans bag. Just unprofessional behavior not befitting a scholar.

  • SMH EVERYBODY THINKS ITS A JOKE BuT the bible says God Will Judge the World In righteousness And if you dont repent and accept jesus christ as your lord The bible says you will Perish in your sins..

  • @GiveMeJesus316 nigga god said yo tits stanky. dis nigga ain't real.

  • @GiveMeJesus316

    Lol take your bullshit elsewhere.

    We're Atheists, motherfucker.

  • @ParadoxAnonymous What a crude person you are. Really shows how nice atheists are to 84% of the world.

  • @WildWestBudgie

Gosh, can't you take a freaking joke?

What a boring, humorless person you are.

  • @GiveMeJesus316 And who wrote the bible? Man wrote the bible. And how is something that is man-made going to tell secrets of god, heaven, and hell? The idea of jesus christ as a savior is fake, you're being manipulated. I almost feel sorry for you.

  • @ROPSproductions Smh Its Funny that people say MAN Wrote the bible ( That Relieves People From the Moral Accountability Of There Sins And Life Style, Because The bible says men love darkness rather then light, people love the control of there own life and dont want nobody or nothing telling them how to live there life they love there sins.. see cause if the bible is true it is going to be really binding on people and people kno they are going to be respoonsible for there life

  • @GiveMeJesus316 The Qur'an says the same thing about Christians. I bet you think that's a joke.

  • @Fortune2point0 yeah I know but We have to establish what is true and what is not and i think the bible can be defended i think the bible has stood the test of great scrutiny

  • @GiveMeJesus316 The Bible can not stand the test of scrutiny nor can it be logically defended.

  • @Fortune2point0 yes it can! But The bibles says ( The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned) the bottom Line is You and other that deny the bible do not have the spirit of god so you cant understand the bible. all yall are lefted with is your reasoning and logic. god has to open your heart To the truth which is a divine miracle

  • @GiveMeJesus316 Can you show me an article where the Bible has been peer reviewed and scrutinized and proven to be factually correct?

And assuming your god exists, why did he create me to be intelligent and rational, knowing that that would cause me to not believe in him?

  • @Fortune2point0 and there is no proof for unbelief, ignorance is the byproduct of unbelief.. You dont know the truth because you dont believe When you come to god wanting to know the truth then and only then when he will reveal the truth to you but until you keep mocking the bible you will die in your sins.. i dont want that for you if you have any questions im here for you buddy

  • "denies logic because he probably does'nt believe in god"-that stupid christian guy

he could have used his imaginary friend when the proff made off wiht his books lol

  • You tell em professer! That's what happens when idiots preach religion to smart people.

  • @sarahoooooooo 84% of the world are idiots and the rest are automatically smart? That thinking is what is screwing America into the ground...

  • what did the professor steal?

  • Comment removed

  • He teaches logic LIKE A BOSS!

  • >"Teaches logic".

    >Screams and swear in public to make a point

    ishygddt

    good jorb, bro.

  • @livinglegend1187 I'm pretty sure these kids aren't in grade school, they'll be able to handle the all grown up words.

  • Someone needs to teach this person to film with something other than the orange stripe on the back of an xxxl size pair of athletic shorts.

  • he seemed fairly relaxed to me, i dont know that raging is the correct term.

and that is what we call owned.

  • Hype professor, true heroes in the world!

  • How rude.

  • @WildWestBudgie

Rude because a professor confronted an annoying preacher?

  • @ParadoxAnonymous Rude because he is screaming and swearing in public at an older man. In most places, that's considered rude.

  • @WildWestBudgie And atheists don't walk around in public shouting at bystanders; trying to frighten them into following an ancient cult with talk of hell fire and brimstone.

The preacher deserves the ridicule he received. Also, the professor looks older.

  • @LockeXIII You're right, atheists walk around in public and call people "motherfuckers" and then proceed to steal their property.

Why does the preacher deserve the ridicule? He has done nothing illegal or wrong. He is expressing his beliefs.

It's still rude to call someone obscenities and then steal their property.

  • @WildWestBudgie Nice job at generalizing, because EVERY atheist says obscenities and steals property. The preacher deserves ridicule because he is pushing religion, obnoxiously too. NO ONE wants to hear that.

  • @ROPSproductions If you cared to use some of that "logic", It was a response to someone who was generalizing about human beings who happen to believe in something greater, showing how idiotic generalizing sounds. He basically said "See how stupid religious people are", so I said "see how mean atheists are". Makes sense, if the video was all we had to distinguish one from the other. And, no one deserves ridicule.

  • @WildWestBudgie You don't need to commit a crime to be ridiculed. Shouting at people to go to church and flailing around in public is enough.

The preacher was there first shouting at students.

  • @WildWestBudgie

    He swore ONCE.

Is it really THAT displeasing to the ears? College students do it ALL the time. Do you believe they all began to cry and scream as soon as he spurted "motherfucker"?

  • Kenneth Parcell still has his page jacket!

  • Not all religious people are like this, the ones that are just talk louder.

  • For those people criticizing the teacher, I think perhaps the teacher should go to the Evangelist's church and teach. Perhaps then we can all call the pastor a "dick" then...

  • Religious people, please die and go be with your god, we need to make space for more intelligent, rational people. Thanks.

  • @aegisgfx Not all religious people are like this, narrow one. Just like not every athiest is like you, thank god.

  • @bronco3181

    It's spelt as 'Atheist', btw.

  • Comment removed

  • @aegisgfx Harsh. Are all atheists like you? If they are, the rest of the sane people are in trouble. Killing 84% of humanity because one facet of their life is believing in something you don't is psychotic. Some of the brightest scientific minds were religious. Ex: Albert Einstein. Saying you want to kill someone who is religious is like me saying "I want to kill someone who is gay". Being gay is a facet of their life, that's not who they are. Open your mind a little. Bigotry is lame.

  • @WildWestBudgie

No it's not, religion equals fear & stupidity.

It's something we should have moved pass long ago.

  • @THeJUlk I think you meant "past". Now what was that about stupidity?

  • @THeJUlk The same "fear & stupidity" that ALL Empires and Nations were built on?

  • @WildWestBudgie Albert Einstein was not religious.

  • @Fortune2point0 But he did not say that god didn't exist.

  • @aegisgfx

Um hey more intelligent and rational people.

Where did the Big Bang come from?Where did the universe come from?

What is this??? You superior, inteligent people are stupid and dont hace any awnsers???WTF!!!

SO let me get this STRAIGHT

You make fun of religion cause it has no proof.....yet you counter by saying your belief (big bang) is right...even though IT HAS NO PROOF.

PPLEASE PLEASE GO DIE IN A DITCH AND FEEL THE FLAMES OF HELL

  • @quatroportte we can't answer (though we have a very good theory for it) one question, therefore religion is right? , people asked: Where do fire and lightning come from? God? Science proved it. People asked: Where did all the animals and people come from? God?science proved it. Where did the planet come from? Nailed it. But all these other galaxies? Proved it. Morals? Proved it. Every single answer that used to be "god did it" is proven, except for this one, and you just cling to that. Cute.

  • @quatroportte We don't know yet, though we do have ideas with a great deal of scientific background behind them.

For example, the Hartle-Hawking no-boundary condition proposes that the Big Bang originated from the quantum level of reality, where energy spontaneously appears and disappears at random.

The difference here being religion has no scientific grounding or evidence, at all.

  • posing evangelist twat

  • People like this “evangelist” aren’t there to persuade. They don’t really change anybody to “come to Jesus”.

They’re there to antagonize and annoy, pushing people to behave as they assume others that don’t share their craziness behave.

I think on some level, this evangelist wants people to treat him derisively because he delusionally thinks it justifies him.

  • That professor is a dick... The preacher may be annoying, and honestly shouldn't be doing that but that professor was an ass

  • @mastermclovin0 People get tired of idiots like that preaching in public. They have a right to do that but fuck man they can shove their religion in some else throats.

  • religious clown

  • I wonder if that guy gets a lot of p~ssy.

  • Love his arm movements

  • I'm gonna go make a dubstep version... I teach college mother fu fu fu fu fuuuuu CKERRRRR wub wub wub wub

  • Comment removed

  • Let's see this professor try that at a Muslim gathering.

  • free speech? you're on private property dumb ass

  • LOGIC MOTHERFUCKER, I TEACH IT

  • People like this piss me off.

And they say Atheists are agressive? I don't see that many Atheists screaming bullshit on the top of their lungs as i do religious folk.

You people were always the best at that.

Though politicians and lawyers were competing for that first place as well.

  • @alexicon89 tbf, the atheist does massively overreact.

  • @DMChester12 Yeah he kind of was being an asshole about it.

  • And people wonder why atheists target Christians in America. I've never been preached to by a Muslim/Buddhist/Hari Krishna/Satanist/Taoist/Hindu/Pagan like this.

  • This is a place of education and advancement. Religion has no place within its walls

  • The evangelist is an making an ass out of him self with what he says, but am i the only one who also thinks the prof is a dick? walks up to the evangelist and takes his possesions with out consent, calls him a mutherfucker, acting like hes so much better than the evangelist, when really they are both humans just expressing their ideas.

  • @DMChester12 Except the professor can prove that his ideas are correct, while the evangelist makes you take his word for it.

  • @ProThesaurus well obviously if he teaches a chemistry class and if the video description is true. they both have every right to share their ideas, my only point is that the prof is being a prick about it and has no right to take the religious guys things.

  • @DMChester12 The possessions were confiscated, not stolen.

And no, there were not equals here. The evangelist was disturbing the peace and trespassing on UCLA property.

  • @Lyinginbedmon dont change the word stolen to confiscated to justify someone taking another persons possessions with out their consent. he had no right to confiscate his bag of books or what ever it was. and the professor was being just as loud as the evangelist (feeding off eachother) so you can say they were both disturbing the peace. As far as trespassing, sure go call the cops if your that weak minded that a religious person annoys you that much.

  • @DMChester12 No-one is using the word "stole" and he has not been convicted or even arrested for suspicion of theft. Confiscation of materials from someone who was openly violating the regulations of the (private property) UCLA campus is perfectly within the law.

I'm not annoyed by the religious guy, I'm annoyed by people who apparently don't realise Prof Scerri was perfectly within his rights to do what he did.

  • @Lyinginbedmon you used the word "stolen" first.... you must be trolling me saying that its okay for a teacher to takes someones possessions with out their consent, even if it is "confiscating" it. learn your rights and how to deal with a situation, i dont give a fuck if im on UCLA property or harvard, no1 touches my shit with out me saying that they can.

  • @DMChester12 Taking things without permission of the owner is an actus reus of theft and confiscation, what differs is the mens rea, that is to say the intent. But in this situation, confiscation IS justified and IS legal, whether the owner likes it or not.

  • @Lyinginbedmon just because it is legal does not make it right. i dont give a fuck about actus reus and mens rea (and other parts of the law), a warrant must be shown to me other wise no1 touches my things or searches em. especially in this situation, when its just a religious nut speaking about what he believes. The prof needs to either walk past, or let campus security/the police determine if he is trespassing and disturbing the peace.

  • @DMChester12 Neither of those two would do a thing unless notified OF trespassing by someone else, and certainly involve a lot rougher treatment that Prof Scerri gave him.

And if indeed you prevented someone from confiscating items, and refused to leave, you aren't getting removed from the premises anymore, you are getting flat-out arrested.

The law doesn't care if you like it or not, it's to the benefit of ALL, not just you.

  • @Lyinginbedmon

how can the law care, its inanimate....

if he is trespassing and refuses to leave then i believe he does deserve to be escorted off in a rougher way, or flat-out arrested.

yelling at him calling him a "motherfucker" and taking his possessions will not get him off the campus..

  • @DMChester12 My point exactly, whether you like it or not, the law just "is".

"motherfucker" was used ONCE in this conversation and the rest of the conversation was quite civil, especially if you think Scerri himself should have thrown him off-campus. As Scerri is not an official of campus security, he is poorly enabled to do so, leaving him with the option of sternly advising the evangelist leave and confiscating his property to that aid.

And that is exactly what happened.

  • @Lyinginbedmon just because there is law doesn't mean i agree with it, and will obey it completely. id be careful when saying civil, when he acted against the will of the evangelist and took his things, and even if he did just say motherfucker once, he had to fit it in somewhere in a quick 3 minute conversation.

  • @DMChester12 Prison is containing people against their will and forcing them to labor, stop using "against his will" as an argument point, once a person breaks the law they lose that right.

So that reduces us to confiscating the property of someone trespassing on campus property and then alerting security AFTER thoroughly warning the evangelist, and uttering a curse-word once. I think regardless of what you think of the law, the Prof was in the right here.

  • @Lyinginbedmon what will confiscating his property do to get him off campus faster?

  • @DMChester12 For the most part, encouragement. It's a case-by-case basis really whether confiscation is reasonable or beneficial, but in the case of a preaching evangelist I'd say beneficial.

  • @Lyinginbedmon i'd say neither reasonable or beneficial. the only encouragement needed is to notify an official responsible for trespassing and disturbing the peace on that precious ucla campus. then they (security or police) can say he is breaking the law and escort him off campus. Simple and confiscation is not needed.

  • @DMChester12 That would be your opinion, yes, but since we've already acknowledge that what happen is neither illegal nor in violation of UCLA regulations, and that the evangelist was trespassing, your opinion is all that remains to speak ill of what transpired.

  • @Lyinginbedmon youre really treading on what is illegal and what is legal. im more focusing on the moral issue here. its sad to see you have combined the two, legality and morality :(, when they are far from the same. your prof scerri is a asshole, more than the evangelist.

  • @DMChester12 Morality is subjective, it varies depending on the situation, and so should not be used outside one's own opinion to judge matters, leaving legality.

    And Scerri isn't my professor.

  • @Lyinginbedmon we both witnessed the situation, and in this case it can be solved with out confiscation. i will never ignore my morals when making a decision, you immoral sheep.

  • @DMChester12 I'm not ignoring my morals, I'm saying that as third-hand witnesses out morals cannot influence the event and are therefore relegated to opinion on the matter. Neither am I amoral, in fact I'd wager we share many of the same moral guidelines, mine however are drawn from rationality, reason, and my experiences with human beings and the natural universe. Yours I suspect are drawn from a bound collection of compressed wood pulp with manic shapes of ink on them.

  • @Lyinginbedmon didnt you just say not to use your morals in this situation? "it varies depending on the situation, and so should not be used outside ones own opinion to judge matters"

  • @DMChester12 No, I said our morals are irrelevant to this matter. If either of us had been personally present at this event, THEN our morals would be relevant.
