This is an excellent live performance of a variant of a British broadside ballad, published by T. Batchelar (London) sometime between 1817 and 1828, and archived at the Bodleian Library Broadside Ballads. It was also collected in 1951 from Mrs. K. McCarthy of St. Shott's, NL, and published in MacEdward Leach And The Songs Of Atlantic Canada © 2004 Memorial University of Newfoundland Folklore and Language Archive. Thanks for sharing.
