  • i love how chavez pisses off everyone that is corrupt in this world.

    viva president chavez

  • If you kive in the U S, you should move to another country where the people have more freedom than we have hear. Good luck on finding one.

  • Steve, Keep telling it like it is...I am so greatful for your service....also thank you for coming to Plymouth MA and speaking out on the Howie Carr Show to thank the Brown voters!! Keep up the good work!

  • Chavez has no level of marxism, this guy is wrong.

  • @sebastiamer

"Chavez has no level of marxism"?? wtf does even mean.

  • @wwintelligencer I didn't even use that quote, that's what the guy says on 0:05.

  • Steve King for President in 2012!

  • Steve King you smacktard, Chavez is a man of the people, not a puppet for the nwo like obama.

  • "Owners of capital will stimulate the working class to buy more and more of expensive goods, houses and technology, pushing them to take more and more expensive credits, until their debt becomes unbearable. The unpaid debt will lead to bankruptcy of banks, which will have to be nationalised, and the State will have to take the road which will eventually lead to communism"

  • I think Congressman King's view on this topic are quite solid. Obama is riding the wave of success and pushing fast to change the U.S. I for one am fiscally conservative (don't confuse me with those who says they are and are not) and that is why I am upset with the attack on the private sector. I know our car companies are struggling but rather than keeping jobs for people to make a product no one wants we should give them training and unemployment money until their training is complete.

  • King a failed nobody ass hole, whos reading out of 1984 george orwell in the house. Nobody there listening except a few of his neo con asshole buddies

  • sunny - And, that is too sad. Also, hypocritical for so many Democrap sheep who cried like babies over Bush's "taking of our rights", etc - and yet, here is Obama, continuing & increasing Bush's wire tapping & Patriot Act, has appointed people (along w/ many other Dems in congress) who want to take away 1st , 2nd & 10th amend rights, have criminal groups like acorn "helping" w/ census, to corrupt electorate, has numerous law breakers in his cabinet - and Bush never fired private citizens..

  • right4us:

Since you're not a "Democrap sheep" then you were in favor of Bush's Patriot Act and wire tapping? And then when Obama won, you suddenly fell out of favor with it?

You seem confused, or dogmatically partisan. Not sure which.

  • inductus - It is you that is confused. I have never expressed any opinion on them - only about the reality that the Dems screamed over it. Yet, NOW Obama adds to it - their screams should be louder, No? But, it's crickets.

As to me? I am concerned anytime our rights are infringed upon. But, since I'm not involved in criminal activities, I was not paranoid over it. However, Obama ADDED to it. And we see the Dems abuse individual rights - (Joe the plumber & others). Bush didn't abuse like that!

  • right4us:

You brought the topic up (Patriot Act/wiretapping) as a focal point of discussion, and yet claim to have no opinion on it.

I'm sorry but I'm afraid I cannot sift through this morass to make any sense of it.

    Take care.

  • indoctus - Good grief - I don't mean to appear, uh, mean - but, you lack of comprehension is staggering.

The wiretap/rights issues was mentioned to highlight the "HYPOCRISY" of the Dems who were screeching like stuck pigs about Bush's assault on private citizen's rights. Yet, NOW silent on Obama's.

That you can't grasp that is an insult to you.

To further drive the "rights' HYPOCRISY, I added the other issues, as it in an assault on THEIR rights, too. And yet, NO outrage from the left.

  • ... Futhermore, I did express an opinion about it when you asked about it. Yet, even after I expressed my opinion you claim I have no opinion about it. Good Grief!!

So to cap here, YES, I brought it up in the context of the "DEMS hypocrisy." Got it?

It is absurd to put forth that someone cannot mention someone's position on an issue without delcaring their own opinion. LOL. Not to mention considering there is such limited characters to post your comment.

  • you people are idiots! capitalism works you fool! socialism has never been successful! if you disagree please name which country is better off then the U.S., and if you can do that, i'll gladly send you a one way ticket so you can live there! ha!

  • anthony35:

The term socialism is very broad, from oppressive Communist states like China to successful mixed economies (free market with regulation and some gov't owned corporations) such as Sweden.

If someone is to refer to Obama as a socialist they should be thinking democratic socialist in a European sense, not a Stalin or Mao, which would be absurd.

That's at least if objectivity is our goal.

  • This guy is a total idiot. He is giving Iowa such a bad name, glad he is not repping my district.

  • King is incorrect.

The reason Obama feels justified in making changes in private companies is because public money is being used to support them.

It would be completely irresponsible for the President to hand over cash to these robber baron capitalists unless he had some say in the operation of these companies.

If these companies don't want interference, then they should refuse public funding.

  • You are an idiot.

  • kurtisdogson:

Perhaps, but I don't see any point in handing over billions if you have no say in what is done with the money. That would be like giving your children your credit card and then saying, "knock yourself out kids". Of course you would want some limitations such as only in emergencies.

Why would you deny that of Obama. Your stance seems quite inconsistent.

By the way, none of these corps had to take the money. They could have said no thanks. We don't want any outside control.

  • Hey indoctus, some of the banks say they were forced to take the money and when they try to give it back the gov did not want to take it back. Pres O is acting like a loan shark using money to power grab companies and banks. The money given to GM did not work, they should of reorged under bankruptcy.

  • joskemom:

Not saying you're wrong, but I wonder how legally you can force someone or some company to take money. Certainly there would be no legal mechanism in place for such a strange move. If the money was refused, what could Obama do legally? Surely no court could force such an action.

I suspect your source of this information, the banks, is suspect, which would not be surprising.

  • indoctus - When unlimited power is granted to the Tres. Sec, he is the legal mechanism for such a strange move. And, he works for the Pres, implementing his policies. How convienient? How collusive?

This was granted to Paulson by Bush & confirmed by congress - and has transferred to Geitner. This has been all over the news for some time.

Good grief - do a google search of say, maybe uh, "banks forced to take money"

You will find ample sources. Some even non-suspect.

  • right4us:

I checked into it. The banks applied for these funds, but now some are getting cold feet because they don't like the new rules that came with them, for instance limitations on executive compensation (bonuses).

Some banks did not apply for funding, and did not receive any (Bank of Florida).

Most of the sites were blogs and seemed poorly researched, so I stuck with legitimate articles.

  • Obama is kicking ass. And you know it.

  • You are right, you are a Comic. Put on your clown nose.

  • Yes but I don t call myself 5th elementh I use to call myself go win do fack. Now I love to call myself Juda, and I ll keep it. Now you know it.

I allways had a bit of trouble lying but I ll menage.

  • Obama and chavez should go fuck their mothers

  • i thought that was the funniest thing i have ever seen hahaha you guys are too funny .... i almost started to cry from luaghing so hard.

  • a failed dichead. Chavez is an elected head of State so is Obama the US Presidents meet them, even Dictators who are unelected , ie China and USSR(in the past)

  • Obama please change this country into the liberal image you see. PLEASE. Liberalism (if you took the time to look it up) actually means the defense of civil liberties and the propogation of democracy. Conservativism is not wanting to change, to keep the old ways

  • you guys need to quit arguing because both parties are disgusting! the two party system in this country is pathetic. people need to start thinking for themselves! screw this right left shit why cant you come together on common interests and then solve your differences like individual human beings with the God given gift of reasoning! Don't let them divide and conquer us, we are all Americans who love this country damn it! Peace Love and Liberty to you all! and remember JeSuS LoVeS YoU!!!!

  • How did a sell-out like Obama ever become President?

  • This comment is word for word Ushadrons. Write your own comments.

  • Such hateration. Right-wingers, give it a rest. Your balls falling off since this election and you are left wondering why. If you guys would use your time serving instead of attacking, we would not be in this mess.

  • Obama is a Stud

  • halc - as if Democrats aren't? LOL - When the Repubs were in power - the Dems constantly attacked them, Bush & Cheney, etc.. relentlessy - hoed they failed in everything, tried to undermine the war they first signed onto. And spewed "dissent is the highest form of patriotism".

Yet, now they they are in power - any criticism is "now" treason, racist attacks on a Black Pres, whinning, etc.

    Give me a break!!

As to the future - How beautiful is a bankrupt Democrat run country?

  • "hoed" = "hoped"

  • You had a break-- 8 years. Now we are just that-- "broke"!

  • frank - Maybe you forget that the Dems took control of congress (spending, committees, chairs etc..) in 2006.

I commented that I am no Bush lacky, but the Dems didn't try to stop spending before they took over in 06, and Increased it once they did.

And, a large part of why we are broke is the Dems Fannnie/Freddie programs which put us on the hook for $5 trillion - impacting banking/housing/mortgages.

  • its called a presidential vetoe, they can do that and stop bills from being passed. Bush vetoed more bills than any other president i think

  • xpo - Well, I know what a vetoe is. And, I also know that you are incredibly wrong.

"President George W. Bush (43) set a 200-year record, becoming the most veto-less President since the early 1900s. The last President to exercise no vetoes at all was James Garfield, who held office only six months before being shot. "

Good grief - you only prove your own incompetence when you post - er, incompetently!!

  • Lol, you're completely leaving out the fact that the media didn't favor anywhere near the left while "Repubs were in power." Oh and the answer to your question, just as beautiful as any bankrupt country, duh?

  • spread - Duh - My reply was to someone who though that it was beautiful that that the Dems were in power - duh! And, it has been reported that our debt will be apx $10 trillion. Maybe you think that is beautiful, too.

I'm no Bush lacky, but his debt was/is peanuts compared to what Obama is proposing. duh.

And, wtf do you mean "the media didn't favor anywhere near the left while "Repubs were in power"? duh!

  • Does this King guy know how ridicules he sounds? Who is he trying to convince with his fable?

  • Send chavez to the south and he'll run into the KKK and he will shit his pants. hahahahahahahahahahhaah.

  • No question, Barack Hussein Obama is a Communist.

  • Obama is great... I will not judge him yet because he hasn't been president long enough to judge. But after 2 years is when I will judge.

  • Some already draw the connection. Seen the Commie Obama hat yet?

  • I love the analysis and predictions of this guy. He said in the ´08 presidential campaign: "The terrorists will be dancing on the streets, if Obama is elected." But I haven´t seen yet any terrorist dancing on the street. Why do we keep on sending this kind of morons to the Congress?

  • bob - How is it that you don't know how to google for information?

Well, here's a tip - google "terrorist rejoice + Obama" - you will firnd what you haven't seen.

So, you knock this guy - who is right. And what about lying bafoons like Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Harry Reid, Chuck Shumer... or even Obama who has repeatedly lied. "No more lobbyists" yet brings them in by the truck load. The same w/ "cleaning up DC - tax cheat after tax cheat, "No more pork" as he signs the porkulous bonanza!

  • I did NOT vote for Obama and will certainly not vote for him, ´cause I have been conservative all my adult life. But that is not a reason to describe him as "fascist" and/or "socialist". ´Cause he is NOT the one who signed FISA and the Patriot Act into law and gave $700 Billions bailout to Wall-Street in 2008! All this was done by a Conservative name George W. Bush. Remember, right4us? Or do you have amnesia?

  • bob - I did NOT say you DID vote for Obama. YOU are the one calling King a moron - and in essence a liar. And I proved he is not a liar (which you want to now gloss over.

Furthermore, as you claim to be a conservative, yet, attacking King who has a 5 yr rating of 98 by the ACU & "He is someone who grassroots conservatives in Iowa and across the country have looked to, and will continue to look to, for leadership.

And, as a conservative (lol) you cont. sticking up for liberal/left B.O. ...

  • cont.. and while you attack Bush - Obama has EXPANDED wire tapping, has already spent more than 3 times what Bush spent - in fact - has spent more than ALL Pres since this counrty was founded.

Furthermore, Bush only had released HALF of the $700 bill (350) and OBAMA, after elected & in transition, called for the 2nd HALF to be released.

So, as a "conservative" your concept is grossly flawed - in where you like to direct your "conservative" (lol) vitriol!

  • Hopefully you are not questioning my Conservatism, ´cause the easiest way to get me mad!!! I stay by my initial comment: It is hard for me to take Rep. King seriously, ´cause his comments and analysis´ during the ´08 campaign were so confusing and absurd, that McCain had to distance himself from him at least 2 times!!!

  • bob - No - just poking at some irony. i.e. sticking up for Obama, but, going after Bush. (who by the way, I agree he spent like a drunken sailor. - and was not conservative on other issues like immigration..) But, is way more conservative than Obama.

McCain didtanced himself from MANY conservatives all the time. But, check ACU rating on King - it is strong 98/100.

I see you are a Ron Paul supporter, so no - I don't doubt your conservative views.

But, King is way more conserv than McCain

  • AGAIN: Get focused on our conservative cause and forget about Obama. ´Cause Obama is NOT the one who betrayed our core conservative values and signed the Patriot Act, FISA and the Wall-Street bailout into law. Bush initiated all these un-conservative laws and measures!!! As long as we remain obsessed with this Liberal and accuse him of being "socialist" and/or "fascist" without any convincing arguments, we are making fool of ourselves. Is that so hard to understand???

  • bob - You do what you feel you need to do. Bush is no longer the Pres - and is out of the picture. And you can forget about Obama all you want - But, to "forget" about Obama is absurd. He is the one that is EXPANDING what Bush even did, while moving in to shut out dissent - (as a Paul supporter you have made his watch list) wants to take away gun rights, wants to indoctrinate the youth. - Is that so hard to understand?

If you don't belive facts are convincing arguments, that is being a fool.

  • Bush and Cheney are NOT out of the picture and will NOT be out of the picture, as long as long Cheney is giving interviews on national TV!!! The Liberals might use them again to win in 2010 and 2012, as Reagan did with Jimmy Carter in 1982 and 1984, ´cause that is the way things work in Washington. We´d better find a way to get rid of these 2 BASTARDS, before it is too late. Got that???

  • bob - We look at issues differently.

I'm am going to leave it at this: I am not going to convince you of anything - you are not going to convince me.

No point in continuing to uselessly post back and forth. Later

  • You don´t need to convince me, ´cause I have been conservative all my adult life. The people you have to convince are the independents and moderates. And these moderates and independents are sick and tired of the rhetoric some of us are using since the last presidential election. Think about that! Cheers!!

  • bob - But, the justifications to the "fascist & socialist" are based on many trouble truths. Obama's past is filled with ties to people like rev Wright, who advocates wealth redistributions & reparations, Black Liberation Theology, socialistic views, W. Ayres, (communistic) & Saul Alinsky. Obama's father was a known commie Obama has spilled out wealth redistrubition, is calling for a "civilian force" - loyal to him - (that alone is fascist).

And, should concern ALL conservatives & US lovers.

  • McCain gave a huge amount of money to an anti-israel organization. Does this mean McCain is an antisemite? Sen. Lindsey Graham and Shelby said we have to nationalize some big banks. Does this mean these GOP leaders are socialist? Stop the NONSENSE and get focused on the ONLY thing that really matters now: re-organize our conservative movement with some new and honest faces with proven conservatism!!!

  • bob - I agree we need honest conservatives - but, surely you don't think McCain is any part of the answer. He is part of the problem. He, like lindsay gramnesty, shelby, hatch, snow, specter - good grief - the list is too long of rinos.

No doubt we have an uphill battle. But, I disagree in forgetting about Obama.

We don't have to agree on everything.

  • Talking about Obama and his policies makes sense only if a) we can get rid of the BASTARDS who betrayed our core conservative values, b) rely less on all the polarizing and self-contradicting figures capitalizing on our movement to get higher ratings and sell books and c) search more intensively for new, honest and true conservative leaders. ´Cause we cannot win again with the same BASTARDS we have been supporting for too long!!!

  • bob " search more intensively for new, honest and true conservative leaders. ´Cause we cannot win again with the same BASTARDS we have been supporting for too long!!! "

    Amen

  • obama is da shit!!!

  • Hey Guys

Do not be extremists about Obama's tactics, his positive style will eventually make countries such as Cuba & Venezuela & maybe Iran change for the better.

This is an honest advice from a European you gave Bush 8 years chance and we all know how damaging was his leadership.

I suggest you be more open minded and try to understand and listen to different views and why so many countries dislike America.

  • you are absolutely right. I'm glad to read comments like yours.

  • Obama. it was hoped, would be a politician, like Bill Clinton. But the way his

winking eye fondles dictators and bows before kings, he is clearly the ideologue

the press succeeded in covering up. To

sell out America to world interests, he

now shifts preffered stocks to common

to deny taxpayers any recovery and insure

the new fascist government a total voting

control over the corporate world. The Progressive Liberals once backed Mussolini in 1938, well El Duce- "He's

    Back !!!!

  • This guys is hilarious... he is decontextualizing events. Revisionism is pathetic.. and that is his technique.

Obama saved the companies with the condition that they compromise, and it was when he found that this companies where essentially holding thousands of workers hostage, that is when his administration decided to limit their control over the situation... one which the companies were apparently willing to go beyond the point of massive job loses, which would have created further chaos.

  • all of the rethugs must have memorized the same mantra

  • this guy is a moron. "uhh... You know Barack Obama puts his pants on one leg at a time, like Osama bin laden. This must mean they're the same." Fucking doorknob.

  • Putting on your pants and using American executive power take over a private business... slightly different.

  • there must be something wrong with you!!!

  • does it matter anymore? Chavez prob hates the US less then O's former "spiritual advisor"

  • Republicans are a bunch of ignorant malcontents, who can be worked into a frenzy about anything. They simply can't live with the reality that they lost the election so badly. Their desperation has lead them to look increasingly insane. Their divorce from reality and retreat into the political netherland of subjective hate and fear, runs counter to the direction of the conciousness of our country. These Palinesque optics will lead them to a major defeat in 2010 and 2012. Life is beautiful.

  • Obama is an asshole.

  • Chavez is not perfect but surely Bush is far worst than him.

With the excuse of Democracy & Liberty Bush made the whole world hate the USA.

Obama is bringing back respect for the USA so American people should be thankful.

The USA under BUSH junior used to Dictate their policies all over the world.

I favour Liberty, Free markets & democracy, however, I do not agree with imposing these systems by force becuase that goes against Liberty & Democracy.

  • liberty and democracy can also suffer when one does not demostrante order and discipline... democracy is about balancing private interests and the greater good. Free markets are only free when all have equal access to it, meaning controlling those who desire to monopolize and sabotage by means of order and discipline via vigilant governance.
