You guys are awesome. I've made a couple of 1,000-yard shots and am trying to get the mile. Nothing consistant. Mind you they were not cold bore shots. What optics are you using. That's a great video with some awesome shots. Especially on the water bottle.

Jon, i wrote you ealier, I'm the guy that bought the .270 Rem #700. Off a bench, with a rest, i'm 4" low and to the right at 100 yd. Windage adjustments don't seem to help.. Could it be trigger pull and a lack of holding the piece firmly?

As a shooter myself, I have to say that this video really irks me. There is no excuse for putting someone's life in danger for the sake of video, no matter how good you are. Also, what were your load specs to make a 150 grain .308 projectile travel at 3,000 fps? It seems like you would really have to push the safety envelope pressure-wise get that kind of velocity.

Nobody was next to the target. its a special effect. I would not risk myself like that. see earlier posts for more info. The loads used were compressed loads of reloader 15, I don't remember the weight of the charge, but it was right at the maximum. Flattened a few primers developing the load, but got it. Those cases were used about 8 times. 3000 was the fastest, usually in 2980 range. We rounded up for the video! LOL

Yes, it is trick photography. I may be an idiot, but not quite that big of an idiot. The shadow, or lack thereof gives it away to those who pay attention to details. realskudd's comment is warranted, but his comment is based on something that didn't happen at all. I left the camera up there by itself. I kinda expected to get some grief over the edited shot, but it is still kinda funny. Once again everybody, ITS FAKE, call it adobe After Effects!
