Why would I charge up the charge beam when I can kill them faster with the missiles anyways? Sure it wastes ammo, but when you have 20 or so missiles, wasting one isn't the biggest deal, I don't even use them that often anyways.

That's what really annoyed me about Metroid Prime 1 and 2, you get everything taken from you. Although it's worse in Prime since you have to get the Morph Ball and the Charge Beam back. The Varia Suit too. You were pretty much a wreck at the beginning of Prime.
