I wish the design was a little more attention grabbing....I don't think thats asking for too much. I mean don't get me wrong, it is a very handsome car just like BMW is always capable of making but for the price you should have not only groundbreaking technology but also design as well. The headlights look like they've been shaded in and I think that makes it look old even when brand new. All of this is just IMO though.

@skinnysponge I believe that's a really beautiful car. But where you really feel the luxury is on the inside. No other manufacturer has this kind of clear, functional, yet luxurious interior design. Audi may come close, but any other company like Mercedes, Lexus or even more expensive ones like Bentley can't mach BMW's interior design.

The exterior is a matter of preference. In my opinion, it looks great, because it's not as boring as, say, a Lexus, which look like any random cheap car.

The styling hasn't really moved on much from an E38/E39. Just a bigger grill and changed headlamps. Jaguae stayed with the same styling approach for years but that wore off and I think the the new X351 XJ Jaguar makes this 7 Series look very dull.

as of now, I would say that the BMW 7-Series is best.

The Audi A8 is too much like an A4, just doesn't have the flair.

The Mercedes S-Class, somewhat outdated and too expensive. (stil one of the best cars in terms of luxury, but in terms of driving dynamic, not so much as BMW)

The Lexus LS just loses because it is a lexus. There is nothing fun about that car. Sure it has technological advancements and is priced right, it just doesnt have the prestige, heritage, and aurora of the germans.
