95steveexplorer. I agree about animals getting into your pack, but to use a nail! Come on, you can use existing branches, cord or even the straps from your backpack. This is all we need is trees all over the forest full of nails. Also, when it comes to cutting the trees down that are full of nails with a chainsaw it becomes incredibly dangerous!!!!
Nail into a tree to hang your backpack or survival bag? What kind of idiot would even think of this as a good idea? The idea is to live in harmony with nature, you might aswell drive your SUV into the parking lot of a McDonalds and sleep in the back!
Man, this guy is going to feed himself with a slingshot? Damn, he's good. If you don't know how to hunt before you bug out, you probably won't know how to hunt when you bug out. PREPARATION means developing skills and gathering equipment PRIOR to needing them. A small game rife and the ability to use it will keep you alive, if you know how to prepare your kill. Do you know how to check for sickness in the animal you just killed?
@5thSFGsniper There are many good things about a sling shot. #1 Quiet # 2 will kill most small game # 3 If set up right it will bring down deer, wild pig . Some have 50 lbs draw weight or better. As far as your rifle is concerned there is more weight. Then theres the ammo problem. How much do u take box of 50, a brick. There is mech failure. What if u run out of ammo. You can find ammo for a sling shot any where.
this guy is obviously no expert with knives please leave your spring assists, and switchblades at home they are not the best buschcraft tool to be having out there my friends have broken these things many times out in the wilderness. the best knives are non serrated and do not fold up.
The real stuff has seven strands inside the outer brade, and each of those can be separated into 2 smaller strands that can be used for fishing line or to sew your clothes up.
Lol that's a gerber fast draw

Everyone knows you don't use a folding knife as a survival knife.
You get a fixed blade knife and mabey a folder for a backup :)

i its clear water i would use some rope and attach a knife onto a stick and spear fish
DopeyD4vid 2 years ago
Split the end of the stick and save your knife.
If the stick broke you would lose your knife!
And hitting the rocks at the bottome with the blade will dull it.
