does the g1 always need a internet connection to work? i live in the countryside i get fine t mobile reception for text calls but no 3g. i want to know if i can use the internet through my wireless router at home instead of 3g as i receive no signal. without having problems with the phone etc

the 3g connection is a differaunt connection to the phone calls and texts ect.. you can use my video to connect to a wireless internet and it wont affect your calls or text i can assure you

cheers just says it needs constant internet, just didnt want to not be able to use my g1 at my house because i dont have g3 signal

You arent doing anything that would charge, the only thing your are paying for is the actual connection with your internet that your home provides , hope this helps :)
