@ramb0nat0r AH stands for Attack Helicopter. So its just the term given for that type of helicopter. The Rooivalk never went into production because by the time the final prototype was done there was no need for it in South Africa what with the change of goverment and all. There were a few deals to sell the Rooivalk to Afganistan, I think but those also fell through come the change of goverment. Sad really because even the Americans were impressed at how versatile and robust it was.
I’ve seen this helicopter do a barrel roll at high speed just as a stunt plane would it also does flips at very low speeds.This aircraft is amazing! If SA could just get the money to further it’s development. It’s also a shame that it never saw action. I’m sure it would of kicked ass! I'm sure it's better than the Apache but not the Super Cobra. But if it can get some much needed upgrades, maybe it could be better.

Really did the apache get upgraded again? last I heard the Rooivalk had higher top speed, but couldn't climb as quickly. Also a few of the apache weapons system upgrades were actually produced by SA companies. But hey my sources could be wrong.
