As much as I think Natalie Maines is a chunky little brat, this song was PERFECT for the final scenes of Big Love. I didn't think I was going to cry when I was watching it, but once this music kicked in and Margie turned around to give Barb and Nikki a hug I just lost it.

@statuegal she did a foolish thing. you don't go on foreign soil and say you're ashamed of the president of the US. no matter how you feel. its just unpatriotic. and i do think everyone over reacted to it, but still, she shouldn't have done that. and she should have admitted she was wrong in the way she went about saying what she said. and the song was stupid, because it made it sound like she was wronged in someway, but she wasn't SHE RAN HER MOUTH and her career suffered the consequences.

"Not Ready to Make Nice" reflects that anger well. And I don't believe Country Radio had the justification for the McCarthy Era type Black-Balling of the Dixie Chicks.
Natalie Maines voice is perfection. I really wish she would get back to making music. I thought it was the perfect song for the end of Big Love. I miss my Sunday nights watching Big Love.
