You cannot really compare her version with that of Celine's because

1) This is not her native language so she pretty much have to learn all the words. Try imagine Celine singing in Korean. It's probably would be tuned down a couple points.

2) She's singing this while hanging on on the rope. Considering the amount of accident K-pop had in the past, she's got to be at least somewhat scared sitting there + the way one use vocal would be slightly different when in the air. This is awesome.

I actually love Tae's version better than Celine's, and thats not the sone in me- I just like how it sounds better. But in general Celine is magnificent and has a lot on Tae - including experience, which attributes to a lot in music. I love Luna, her voice is amazing- but not breathtaking. Tae sings with true feelings, Luna- not so much, she just sings- she doesn't live the music like Tae and Celine, at least to me. But WHY is this argument EVEN going on? Just enjoy Tae's song people!!

Why are people comparing Taeyeon with Luna and Celine Dion? Luna has a powerful voice but i don't feel any emotions in her singing at all. Taeyeon don't have strong vocals like Luna but she always brings out emotions in a song and I think that is a most important point for a singer. Celine already has both qualities. And she has years of experience far ahead than the 2 girls. Give them (taeyeon and luna) a chance.They still have a long way to learn!

Plus, Taeyeon is less than half Celine Dion's age. Therefore Dion has twice the experience as Taeng does. Taking that into consideration, Tae's version was although not the best, but arguably amazing none the less. (It was the best for me though, and I'm not saying this easily b/c oh holy night is my favourite Christmas song of all time)

@yennyminniesusu Celine is a worldwide diva. She is lyric soprano, this song should be easy for her to sing. But TaeYeon is another story. TaeYeon is a mezzo-soprano, and her range is not really wide. This song is obviously out of her range. That's why her high notes part is so thin and not that powerful. There are some Youtube vids about TaeYeon's high notes. If you watch it, you can clearly see that if the high notes is in her range, she can sing more powerful than this

@yennyminniesusu Everybody has different taste on music, so I can't say who is better than who. Nevertheless, in my opinion, there are many reasons why Sones say TaeYeon has an angel's voice. And since you mentioned f(x) Luna, I hope you don't mind if I use her as an example compare to TaeYeon. First of all, I have to agree that TaeYeon doesn't have a wide range and can't hit high notes like Luna. But Luna can't absorb herself in the song as deeply as Taeyeon. (Cont)

@yennyminniesusu Can Luna reach high notes? Yes, she can. But she can't bring the emotions of that song while she sings. TaeYeon can do it (e.g: Can you hear me, If, I love you). To many people, TaeYeon does not only sing the song but she also conveys, tells the story through that song. It touches some people hearts. That's one of the reason why people praise TaeYeon for her singing.

You can say TaeYeon doesn't have a crystal clear voice or wide range, but she knows how to change her cons into her pros. These days, there are many Kpop singers can reach extremely freaking high notes, but since their voice are crystal clear, some of them may sound pitchy when reaching it.

@yennyminniesusu Yet, for TaeYeon, she may not reach high notes as high as Jessica or Sunny, she may not sing as low as Tiffany, but she uses her husky voice to sing high notes that sounds very soothing to many people ears. Those are the reason why Sone say TaeYeon has an angel voice. A singer doesn't need to sing correct every single note in the song, but the way they put their emotions, the way they can reach somebody's heart is more important :)
