The creators of this show, one was a former Baltimore PD detective, the other was a beat writer for the homicide section of the Baltimore Sun who rode with police for over a year and then spent a year in the streets with dope fiends. Obviously this shit is not hollywood-ized. This show is the realest expression of street life TV ever produced.
