  • It should be put in a time capsul and opened 20 years from now.How right the dixie chicks were. What strength they had in the face of it all.

  • They were known for their music... not for being intelligent political figures. So when you give a public statement, it's best to stick to what you know, rather than branching out to a zone where they are ignorant.

  • @EvanAsper8 And everyone else in response to the dixie chicks uninformed opinions gave them their reaction. Sure, have your own opinion, but that doesnt mean everyone should agree and like you for it. What if the dixie chicks stood up there and said "I hate black people." Yeah it's their opinion, but really? Come on, their message was a hate message about their own president who is the face of the nation you live in.

  • @EvanAsper8 Moreover, it was a pandering joke! Who says? Maines herself! They were pandering to the anti-war crowd in Europe for profit, and nothing more. It is one thing to have a strong sincere sentiment on a subject, but to do the kind of bashing they did for money was unforgivable, and they found that out. You are spot on, EvanAsper8!

  • I wrote an enlglish paper on this. We were supposed to write about or defend something we believe in. (: A+! :D

  • you know as if the dixie chicks were the only ones against GWBs policies NOT!!!!!

  • Only one word needed,, Ignorance!

  • I only need to use one word. IGNORANCE!

  • There is nothing wrong with an opinion and that's what the dixie chicks gave. Everyone around the world has said much worse about bush but because the dixie chicks are famous they are going to get on there ass about it. I love them and i always will. They have never done anything bad and they are an inspirational band. One opinion shouldn't cost them their lives when their were many more worse opinions about Bush before they even said anything. People are ridiculous. Love you Chicks! <3

  • @FanofJordanTodosey Ok, when did they get killed? And what did they say, EXACTLY, that you think was their opinion?

  • Americans are such cry babies people throwing out Dixie Chick Records now thats treason!!

  • The Dixie Chicks have been my favorite band ever since I was 3 years old. And they still are. I'm almost 15 now and watching this whole episode again, I couldn't love you guys more. You are right, you guys are a sister hood. You guys faught for what you believe in I can only hope that maybe one day I can do the same. Thank you ladies. <3

  • you guys are so strong me and my twin sing all of your songs together and we want another tour in london please!!!!! we love youuu

  • I was a fan before she said it & I'm still a fan. Before Bush ever got into office he wanted a war. Once he got into the presidential office he started it & America is still paying for that a**hole's vanity & stupidity. All of these people want to say these men are overseas fighting for our freedoms. Well tell me this if we all have freedom to say what we please why were the Dixie Chicks so persecuted for exercising their American freedoms?

  • @crystaldream1981 Excuse me men & women.

  • Shows how much freedom of speech gets you in America. They only said how they felt. I am Canadian and think Bush was the biggest ass around. All he wanted was war!!

  • @Billy3051 No, they didn't say "how they felt".

  • @Therealmensa Okay what did they say then? Pretty sure stating an opinion is how they felt.

  • @Grant117 Where do you start? The comment in London? followed by an apology, then a denial that it was a true sentiment in their first stateside interview? The actual recording of Maines calling it a JOKE in their own movie? Or later when she said she didn't want to be called a flip flopper...and changed her mind a second time? Just which "opinion" do you say was sincere? It was a pandering joke on a subject millions were having to take deadly serious. An epic Flip Flop Fail.

  • I think what happened to these girls is ridiculous Kanye west made his comment about George bush after hurricane Katrina and america didn't.rebel against him.

  • @Rachelozabeth10 Poor analogy. Kanye West leveraged his mouth against anyone who isn't black, and the black community made him rich for it. Hard to lose money by saying something people not in your fan base dislike. The DC's not only pandered on a subject their fan base was having to take deadly serious, they spent the better part of three years bashing the very genre that made them A list entertainers in the first place. There shouldn't be any surprise that the original fan base disowned them.

  • Natalie Maines (and, later, Linda Ronstadt) criticized the *President* of the U.S.A., not U.S.A. itself. She's not a traitor to the U.S. Problem wasn't what she said, but where she said it (in the U.K.), plus she was a bit too straightforward about it. Best that musicians infuse their politics into their songs, like Slipknot did with "Wait & Bleed", Depeche Mode with "John The Revelator", Nine Inch Nails with "Capital G", etc. THAT is how you criticize the president of your country.

  • @beneathdatrees0 A bit too straightforward? She didn't mean her comment in 2003. Who says? She did for almost a year afterward. Linda Ronstadt meant her comment, Maines didn't. You missed the point. You can have an opinion, but you can't be disingenuous on subjects your fan base is having to take deadly serious. Maines would and did say anything to get headlines. It cost her and the DC's millions of fans.

  • I love the fact that those girls can stand up and be rabels against the ppl who r controling us and I love there song not ready to make nice its briliant

  • how about they just shut up.

  • whats the song playing at 1:17?

  • u r still my fav,,,,

  • sounds like drama,,,s

(salon drama),,,this is a free country,,,freedom of speech!!!!whts up with that?

  • didn't know president liked drama,,,its called freedom of speech,,,the officials took it took offisive,,,sounds like beauty shop drama!!!

  • I think what hurt the most is that they went over seas and were trying to get cheers for saying that they are ashamed of former President Bush and it wasnt that the people were mad that they said that he was from texas (although i bet most Texans were)... I think it was more because its like they turned their back on the US... Its like a good friend doing something to betray you and then they go and do it behind you back (another country)

  • "shouldn't have their feelings hurt"? What a dumb F-

    My thoughts exactly

  • @iSwampMonster The following statement GW made was "Freedom of speech is a two way street". My thoughts exactly.

  • the prisadent can suck my fucken balls.. go dickie

  • The fact that the words "the war couldn't be going better" were used in the argument makes it completely invalid. The war was not one of necessity, but a rash decision to try to prove to Americans that he had the upper hand. 9/11 was not a declaration of war but one of hatred for America from clueless men who'd rather blame other countries for their ineptitude. There were others choices besides a war that got hundreds of troops killed and lasted all of Bush's reign. Thumbs up Dixie Chicks!

  • Bravery. I want to be just like them, in every way.

  • @1992Ignorance You mean you WANT to make pandering disingenuous comment on subjects millions have to take seriously, and be rejected for it? Knock yourself out!

  • @Therealmensa No I mean I want to stand up for the right to express my opinion. If you don't like the

president you should be able to say so, it promotes free thinking and diversity of ideas. I do take this seriously. Thanks for the pandering disingenuous attempt at an insult. You really knocked yourself out!

  • @1992Ignorance Please join the real world. Maines didn't mean her comment in 2003. Who says? She did, and did so repeatedly. Thanks for missing the point entirely, and not understanding what the words pandering and disingenuous mean.

  • @Therealmensa If you do the research, you'll also find that she later regrets apologizing.

"I apologized for disrespecting the office of the President," Maines says. "But I don't feel that way anymore. I don't feel he is owed any respect whatsoever."

  • @etherealromance Yeah, after no WMD's were found and it looked like there would be none found, but also after they saw their sales had dwindled to nothing, both overseas and at home. With nothing to lose, she announced she didn't want to be a flip flopper, and flip flopped. Part of the three year campaign to change the subject from what she said to a disingenuous claim that it was now about freedom of speech. They said whatever they wanted every day, and they talked themselves off the stage.

  • @etherealromance So, just how many times can you change your opinion before anything you say is meaningless? Well, if you showed up just in time for the last version, and ignore the flip flopping, then you can yell, "Go girls". Remembering that they started out admitting it was a pandering statement simply removes any credibility. Why do you think she includes "And I kinda like it" in her Not Ready song? Because all they could do to generate sales is create controversy, and latecomers ate it up.

  • @Therealmensa

pandering -Gratify or indulge (an immoral or distasteful desire, need, or habit or a person with such a desire, etc.)

disingenuous -Not candid or sincere, typically by pretending that one knows less about something than one really does

I never said she didn't mean her comment. I didn't miss your point. I do know what pandering disingenuous means. Just because someone disagrees with you doesn't mean they are incompetent. I disagree with you. Sorry, can you shut the fuck up now?

  • @1992Ignorance LOL. Here's the real definition of these words:

pandering: a person who caters for vulgar desires, esp in order to make money.

disingenuous: Not straightforward or candid; insincere or calculating. Not typically pretending to know less. Slicing and dicing the the meanings to make it sound less distasteful is typical of a DC apologists. You've got the right handle, Ignorance.

And as far as shutting the fuck up, you wouldn't want to infringe on my freedom of speech, would you?LOL.

  • @Therealmensa lol, do you think you used that enough because I think you could have thrown that out a couple more times. You really put me in my place.

  • @1992Ignorance When we reinstitute an intelligence test as a pre-requisite for voting, and you are prevented from doing anything more than rant on youtube, THEN I will have put you in your place.

  • it's hilarious that at the time people hated them for saying what they said..now 10 yrs later and people hate President Bush and what he did to America...now singers, actors any one with a bull horn say it all the time and now one judges them so WHY were they so harshly judged??

  • @garzac29 Because they didn't mean it. Who says? Natalie Maines herself did.

  • @garzac29 Because they were pandering. They didn't mean it. Who says? Natalie Maines herself did, and did so repeatedly for almost a year. You'll even hear her referring to the comment as a JOKE in her own movie. Its not that hard to understand, once you learn the backstory. A common mistake made by latecomers looking for an agenda. Have a nice day.

  • There's a thing as "Freedom of Speech" but when you bash the President, whom I didn't even vote for, but still is my President, then you're way over your fcken boundaries. Good for them, where are they again? That's right, Karma's a bitch, they're cursed for life:)

  • "I do not agree with what you have to say, but I will fight to the death for your right to say it." - Voltaire

  • I am in no way a fan of America or what it supposedly stands for but if a pillar of your society is free speech then the fallout from their statement absolutely baffles me.

  • So for the women who cried to destroy voice of these songbirds, how do you feel now that your sons are dying for the sake of our home grown oil barons? Our sons have always been said to be dying for the voice of everyone, not just the rich, powerful or even revenge. How big is the man that strikes to take and silence the voice of a woman?

  • obama and bush are evil she sees the truth let the truth set us free stupid gov black balled them

  • hey thats her views she is human to. shouldnt have put her opion on stage due to the fact people loom up to u but im disapointed inobma and bush and the oil mobb.

  • Research left right paradime i wish they would write a song about smedley butler i wanna punch vote for him next time to bad he is gone and no one remembers him im gonna replay this song and listen to it in tribute to him and sing real loud cuz i am pissed prescott bush could b in the song they write lets see freedom of speech from researchers at least and songs too mabye a marine can writr it and get rich wit the chicks

  • there should always be "freedom of speech"...it keeps people accountable for their actions. The Dixie Chicks are brave girls. You might not agree with what they said, but who the hell are you to say they can't? Do you still like Bush after all these years?

  • @GirlArmy21 LOL. We are the millions who understood her comment as a pandering media whore act that deserved the smackdown. Who are you, latecomer, to judge anybody on anything? Epic Fail.

  • @Therealmensa Wow...they are singers! Their job is to invoke thought! Sometimes hate. Maybe you should find another band to listen too...if it upsets you. As for latecomer? Music is timeless. What have you contributed to your Country?

  • @GirlArmy21 11 years, including Nam, bitch.

  • @Therealmensa 23 years in the service...including Middle East and Afghanistan...good try. Later

  • @GirlArmy21 LOL. You're funny, missy. Just what "pool" did you work in miles away from the fighting?

  • @GirlArmy21 ROFL! A COOK! Yeah, you probably had a tough time in the Middle East and Afghanistan. And a pastry chef to boot!

  • Courage in DC

  • porps to the dixie chicks bush is a coward and there fucking AMAZING <3

  • It's freedom of speech until you say something you don't like. all these people are calling them traiters because they said something against the president. i bet those same people are talking alot of crap about Obama. who's the traiter. i dont like most republicans but i have always had alot of respect towards McCain even before i saw this. im a true democrat but i would vote for McCain because he's out for americans best interest, not just out to put more money in his pocket

  • @Amyjay1059 McCain was one of the Keating five.

  • Land of the free ? Hell No...since when?

    allways been a fuked bigbrother-coutry..

  • @algoz729 shut the hell up my fuck , shes not being a fucking media whore , do you think she planned that to happen no , she doesnt support bush and at the end of bush's term all of those dumb ass americans finally realized natalie was right,

  • @mitchellchafe Right about what? The apology immediately after her pandering comment? The year long attempt to convince everyone she didn't mean it, that it was a joke? OHhhh. You, as a latecomer, think her first bash was on GW, and that they deserve accolades for changing their mind about meaning it when it would serve them better. You showed up late and have no clue why millions tossed this group. Dumb americans? LOL. You are funny.

  • The dixie chicks were only trying to gain the british public, that isn't free speech that is beeing a media whore

  • C'mon the Chix!. Restore our respect in the US. Restore the admiration that the rest of the world had in a great country robbed by the Neo-con, Tea-party, military industrial complex larceny. Give us that great country back again. Give us a true American dream the rest of us can admire. Great music, great lyrics, great gals! C'mon the big Obama filla as well! Way to go! Seriously though, they have written some fantastic music & lyrics that people relate to around the world.

  • I am ashamed that George Bush is American!!!!!! I am ashamed Michelle Bachman and Sarah Palin are consittered to be "real Americans", if they are "real Americans" then I am ashamed to be Americans.

  • NATALIE FOR PRESIDENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HEY GEORGE BUSH AND RED CROSS, EVER HEARD OF FREEDOM OF SPEECH?

  • @flush54101 LOL. You're funny. Red Cross? The DC's said they offered a "donation". Not true at all. They took a business deal to the Red Cross, no doubt expecting to be refused. Check the Red Cross site under "myths". The Red Cross never endorses anyone, and that is what the DC's wanted. It was a business deal they offered, not a donation. Why? To get rejected, then try to sell it as if GW (the Prez is always honorary chairman) was interfering. An epic propaganda failure by the DC;s.

  • Americans have the right of free speech...but that is going down the tubes with everything else. You go Dixie chicks!!! I support you!!

  • @echoflash51 LOL. You confuse freedom of speech with freedom from consequences, which never existed anywhere at any time in the history of mankind. Get used to the fact that just because someone is well known as an entertainer does not mean they get to say or do what they want with impunity. Dufus.

  • WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO FREEDOM OF SPEECH!?

  • @Caitlin232323 Alive and well. The DC's made a pandering off-hand joke that agenda seekers like yourself lapped up. The millions of ex-fans recognized this pandering on a subject they were having to take deadly serious as just what it was, and used their freedom of speech to call their radio stations and slam their wallet shut. A tailspin reduction in profits and popularity of the DC's was no infringement on any right. Freedom of speech does not include freedom from consequences. An EPIC FAIL.

  • @Therealmensa "EPIC FAIL" ? Come on, grow up. I don't care if their rights weren't technically violated. I'm not referring to the law, I'm talking about what the mindset of this country is supposed to be, and what its people are supposed to believe in. Isn't the point of freedom to be able to speak WITHOUT such harsh "consequences", even if that doesn't include being thrown in jail? It's disappointing that people can't just have their opinions and accept that those of other's are different.

  • @Caitlin232323 And so the mindset is supposed to be whatever you think it should be? LOL. NO, the point of freedom of speech is that you can't be incarcerated or otherwise harmed by the GOVERNMENT, nor can any other citizen physically harm you for what you say. Others CAN take offense and even sue if your "freedom of speech" is used to slander another. Nobody did anything other than publicly disagree with her and stopped buying their music or caring to hear it. Democracy. Get used to it.

  • @Therealmensa Well, that is never the way I've viewed true freedom, that's just my opinion. I don't believe we are really free until that includes socially as well, obviously that will never happen because of people like yourself. However, when I said that, I wasn't talking about what I personally believe the country's mindset should be, I'm speaking about the claims that America makes about itself. But I understand YOUR opinion, and I'm going to respect that and leave you to it.

  • You know what bugged me most? She said it over seas, in London, and I think it was out of line to critize the President of seas like that. I respect President Bush just like I respect President Obama.

  • @raiderred1992 "The president of seas" ???Not sure what you mean by that, as for bush and obama, a quick look at their election year campaign promises vs what they did after being elected, there is no way to respect either of these men.

  • Dixie Chicks, I still love you!

  • @GamePoster

We went in to get rid of the tyrany and the terrorism. We have nothing against the people of the country, just their evil "government".

However, the Chicks have the right to say whatever they want. So they hated the president and the war, so did millions of others.

  • @bxcuppycake I will give u that but I don't hide I speack out but I don't diss our country. If Natalie hated GW so much she should just have left the US. U shouldn't use a amendment to attack our homeland plain in simple u can but it's common sence not to.

  • I'm On the Dixie Chicks side <3

  • I whole heartedly agree with natalie. Bush sucks. he got us into a war, going after imaginary weapons of mass destruction. Stupid redneck went after the wrong people that attacked on 9/11. At least Obama got bin Laden on his watch. I hope Bush Chokes on a pretzel......Again.

  • @ginapike This war has helped to liberate these Eastern countrys and sent a statement to al-queda for attacking us at home maybe if u loss someone in 9/11 u would understand. I didn't but I felt like I did after that day I've never regreted going to war.

  • @Baylorfan27 So you're saying USA helping the countries USA invades?

  • @GamePoster Yeah Iraq has goten so much better even developing it's own govermant after we kicked Sadam's sorry butt out of officie!

  • "The Red Cross wouldn't take a million dollars from us". It's not just wrong, it's ridiculous. How many millions of men and women died seeking "Weapons of mass destruction". Regardless of that fact, I agree. If a basic constitutional right such as freedom of speech is offensive to the far right rebulican tea party, they should most definatly take their ignorance and hate to another country. It's such a contradiction. Disgusting.

  • Bush u suck Dixie chicks the uk loves u

  • @lillyjacks1 So does your Queen, you ignorant fuck.

  • You know what, the bad treatment of The Dixie Chicks is TOTALLY RIDICULOUS!!!! I love you girls and I totally support what you said., ! You are awesome and I love you and will buy and support any of your music... Our Fellow IDIOTS.... YOU CAN be an AMERICAN and say whatever the HECK you want to, after all this is The United States of America and HERE, WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO SPEAK OUR MIND!!!

  • You know what, the bad treatment of The Dixie Chicks is TOTALLY RIDICULOUS!!!! I love you girls and I totally support what you said. He, G.W.Bush JR. got us into such a mess, it isn't even funny!

Girls~~~~> You are awesome and I love you and will buy and support any of your music...

Our Fellow IDIOTS.... YOU CAN be an AMERICAN and say whatever the HECK you want to, after all this is The United States of America and HERE, WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO SPEAK OUR MIND!!!

  • I love the Chicks. We all have opinions but sometimes it is best just to keep it to yourself.

  • She knew Bush sucked and the band payed for it. She said it first before we all realized it.

  • yea the chicks tell it as it is, isnt a Bush something that hides a cunt?

  • yeah cuz that makes a lot of sense 2 stand in a field.......Grow up

  • ♥ الحرية ♥

  • here>> //top documentary films.com/shut-up-sing/

  • This all happened because someone spoke their mind!!!!....................Dixie Chicks will still be loved in Ireland!!!:D

  • @cLoDaWoDa LOL. Then why didn't "Ireland" or any other European country buy enough tickets on their last failed tour to justify actually coming there and playing concerts as the DC's planned? I think you like standing in a field by yourself and yelling, "We will overcome!". LOL.

  • 8 years later who gives a sh_t about what the far right thought... now we all know what the dixie chicks knew ... They were right and we have the freedom of speech in this country.... and it's true bush is an a-s hole.

  • @marypie1 They didn't know shit. Maines comment in 2003 was an insincere JOKE. Who said? Maines herself. If you knew this, then you wouldn't be such a dumbass. And now you know. Will you continue to be a dumbass or look at the facts to form your opinion? My guess is, you'll keep on saying the same bullshit lie hoping you will eventually convince yourself that what you're saying is true. Sorry to burst your bubble, dumbass.

  • Bush ist ein otto

  • lol, love the ending of the vid. sad that it just got so blown out of proportions.

  • what happened to freedom of speech??

  • dixie chicks = <3

  • I'm an army veteran from Texas and I agree with what the Dixie Chicks said. A lot of Texans were ashamed. I spent ten years in uniform defending freedom of speech. When a President lies to go to war then it is up to the citizens of this country to jack him back by the boot straps. Afghanistan we had the evidence to go in, Iraq was just jr's way to go somewhere we didn't need to be. This from a Desert Storm vet.

  • I guess you are forgetting that the Constitution also means anyone who wants to voice their disagreement with them . . . CAN!

Anyone is certainly entitled to their opinion, but you have to accept that not everyone will agree with that opinion and if you depend on the public for your living - you have to decide if it is worth it. That being said - they should NEVER have received death threats - that is completely different.

  • "The war couln't be goin' better" ---- War is never good! It's a shame

  • @JunkieSCIFI i was just about to say that.

  • The crazier part I think is that shes not the only singer that has ever said shit like that about Bush, for example Eminem and no one went this far about him saying anything. I just think thats funny.. He was worse about it too lol..

  • I love how alot of people didnt like bush at all but than when she said it alot of them even started getting mad, whats the piont of haven freedon of speech if u cant say it in public i mean for real lol

  • @parisfrance16 She said whatever she wanted every day. Freedom of speech never included freedom from consequences. She belittled what millions were having to do in support of that war, regardless of their own opinion. Millions of fans who understood she was pandering, and dismissed her for it. What was she doing while the rest of the country were kissing friends and family goodbye for that war? Going on tour; not invested in that conflict in any way, yet she felt she could use it for profit.

  • Im from Ohio and all she said was " im ashamed our president is from Texas". HELL I WAS ASHAMED OF HIM NOMATTER WHERE HE WAS FROM!!! SHAM ON HIM AND EVERYONE ELSE FOR VIOLATING THE CHICKS CIVIL RIGHTS!!!!

  • @s2hotwkr Dude! I agree. Shame on them. Being hateful for her speaking her mind, and saying what millions of others were thinking. I think she's an inspiration. <3 all of them.

  • I do not agree with what they said but...

Everyone has there own opinion, right?!

I still love them and listen to their music anyways! :)

  • Wow! I am just amazed how some ppl in the USA can be full of hate and venom. President Bush is not respected from others what is the difference from three singers not liking the guy??? Other musicians have talk bad about him in concerts and how is it that Dixie Chicks can't??? Who gives them the right to judge and threaten the girls??? George Bush is not God, besides this is America Freedom of Speech

  • @ortizneva Some ppl in the USA full of hate and venom? You must be talking about Maines and the sisters. They bashed the Red Cross, the very genre that made them the A-list entertainers (including Reba specifically), The View which gave them their first national platform, and who else? While Maines said she wasn't a patriot and didn't understand "this land is your land...", she didn't find it important to correct Joan Baez when she used the very same words in support of them at the grammys. FAIL

  • I, just like millions of other people do NOT think that Aileen Wuornos was ever executed, but enjoys the free life with a band called the dixie chicks.

Honestly, look at "Maines" without makeup and tell me that's NOT Wuornos.

You cant do it-Its scary as hell.

  • They were just voicing their opinions which is the same thing everyone else did when they talked about how much they loved Bush. So many people took it up the butt...just because they offended some people doesn't mean they're not great singers. They're amazing singers. <3

  • Fuck bush what did he do put us in dept then traded it off to Obama which is worse

  • one question for those ripping the Dixie Chicks for dogging out the Pres. on foreign soil....are you now ripping Sarah Palin for doing the same thing last week?...if not...you have no credibility and show yourself to be nothing more than a hypocrite...

  • @johnny2366 No, Palin will get hers at the voting booth. Not the same thing at all, but you're too stupid to understand the difference.

  • @Therealmensa first off, that idiot wont even make it to the ticket ,so no..she'll not pay at the ballot box...and only a simpleton who knows nothing about the political climate in this country would think otherwise...and just like I explained to you on the other posts...it matters MORE thatPalin is a politician and all the MORE reason that what she did is MORE un-American than what the DC did...

  • @johnny2366 First off, she's got better handlers than O'bama. She dropped her governorship so she could show herself a true "mom" on TV. Now, she's stumping. She'll be on the ticket. Simpleton. You've done nothing more than replace "GW" with "Palin" in the previous DC apologist rant, "GW bad, therefore DC's good" strawman argument.

  • @Therealmensa haha...are you kidding me?...to show herself a true mom on tv?..hahaha...the skank quit to pursue the loads of money that idiots like you are ready to throw at her and look how easy it was for her to achieve it...you idiots on the right arent even smart enough to realize when you're being duped by a conman ( woman ) nice try at dancing around the hypocrisy though...epic fail, but nice try anyway

  • @johnny2366 Are you even reading my posts?I'm not on the right OR the left. I know bad when I see it, as well as idiocy. I will be the last person to let that idiotic woman who looks forward to Armageddon anywhere near control of any weapons our country owns. Nice try to flip someone's words for your own agenda. You would be funny if you hadn't become so pathetic just now.

  • @Therealmensa haha, whatever...you spent 3 posts defending her...or was it 4?....and Palin isnt even in the discussion now...Bachmann has kicked her to the side...yet you said she would be on the ticket....do you even follow politics at all?...try and catch up before calling people pathetic....you're about 6 months months behind from what I can see in your words

  • @johnny2366 Defending her? How much of an ignorant ass-clown can you be? She will be on the ticket. Polls have shown that women will vote for her regardless of their voting record simply because she's a woman. With Repugnicans and Dumocrats so evenly matched, the female vote is the largest minority swing votearound. ( I still can't believe they are called a minority officially). With Obama announcing, there better be a female dumocrat stepping up, or she will, regrettably, win the day.

  • @Therealmensa no genius..the polls may show women rating high with Palin....but they show her in last over all behind the likes of even Newt Gingrich..do you not have a television that gets anything besides Fox News?...because if you did you should know this I would think...at the end of the day it will be people like Tim Pawlenty and Mitt Romney on the ticket...Palin will fall to the gutter where she belongs...

  • i love this girls. and yes we do dare to be brave.!!!! is what we do.

  • No problem Dixie Chicks come to France !! We'll be happy to welcome you : )))

    We share your ideas !

  • @Florentine59 You didn't offer enough francs in ticket sales to get them to tour there in 2006. What makes you, a latecomer, think they have any bigger fan base today? They ruined the attendance at the Eagles concerts according to an Eagles spokesperson last year. Please come get them if you want them. I doubt anyone will report them missing if you spirit them out of the USA.

  • @yrbabuena Hardly. They couldn't even gather a million fans on their last tour, which included three countries. BTW, they cancelled all of Europe due to lack of sales on their last tour - 15 cities. 17 cities in the USA were cancelled for the same reason. You might TRY to sell you knew something the rest of the USA didn't, but it would be pathetic to try.

  • i liked it when she said " we have brought out two knew albums so you can stamp on one and burn the other !" lol funny lady , you have a lot more balls than the men !

  • @bigrider2806 Actually, she now has more free time than the men, and will continue to do so. She's as dumb as a box of rocks, killing her career by being disingenuous and bashing any and everyone she could. She's gone and for good reasons.

  • Right or wrong: America = Free speech.

Long live the Dixie Chicks! <3

  • @WarriorPrncss well said .

  • I fully support all who are against bush.

    DOWN WITH REPUBLICAN TERROR

  • Hello Canucks! Just a little reality check; during their last tour, the Dixie Chicks enjoyed no greater attendance at their Canadian venues than they did in the USA venues. When they joined the Eagles tour last year, they actually depressed sales for the legendary Eagles. A spokesman for the Eagles said that they were selling out some venues until the DC's joined them. Yes, Canada, you can still claim you are leading the world in being just north of the USA.

  • So, 19 terrorists destroyed ~3000 lives with nothing but a plan and boxcutters...

What do we do to retaliate? Bush launches a full-scale ground invasion of Iraq, starting first with "Shock and Awe", which eventually leads us into Afghanistan...

8 years later - 100,000 Iraqis dead, ~4,000 US soldiers dead, large military presence remains in both countries, and the man responsible for 9/11 is still at large...

This was a job for special forces, not an invasion...proves that OIL plays a factor!

  • @SechyoolarYOOESAY And the jihadists training in Pakistan didn't need a passport or an overseas trip to strike at the USA! Oh, they came, and make up an unknown but suspected large percentage of the red spots on Iraqui soil. One thing is certain, that the countries of the middle east may breed contempt for the USA, but they will never go to sleep thinking their most extreme activists will bring them any victory, only a really good chance at getting up close and personal with our military.

  • @SechyoolarYOOESAY if someone parks their ass on something someone else then someone rich and narrow enough will knock them down. its a sad world.

  • dixie chicks <3

  • God she was psychic or something look at his aproval rates now... damn america pisses me off...

  • Some Americans may have boycotted the Dixie Chicks but Canada will always love youuu <3

  • Anyone who supported the banning of the play or sale of the Dixie Chicks because they exercised their freedom of speech should have left America and given up their citizenship by now, since they obviously hate everything America stands for. By now they should all be living in some fundamentalist Islamic country, where they can help to plan the destruction of America and the eradication of the individual freedoms the Dixie Chicks enjoy according to the American Constitution.

  • @1955RodHot Good logic there hotshot; people who boycotted the Dixie Chicks did so because they talked crap about the President of the United States at a time when the US felt threatened and scared. In addition to that, it happened in England. And let's not forget we were attacked on our home soil only two or so years before this happened. 9/11 was still extremely fresh in the minds of most Americans and many people felt betrayed by the ignorant lead singer's ridiculous remarks.

  • @nashty131 so you don't believe in freedom of speech? Only people who share your political view are allowed to voice their opinions, even if they are in another country, like England? How logical is that? Do you understand what "freedom" is? Maybe you should look it up in the dictionary. Maybe you should read the U.S. Constitution and educate yourself about the rights and freedoms America is supposed to represent, and that your laws protect. You're saying they don't count. That's not American.

  • @1955RodHot Natalieis a terrible exampe for representing the constitution. In the old ways she would be in prision for saying something like that to the president. Natalie is a smartmouth brat who hides behind are constitution forprotection. Before u cuss me out let me remind u I'm protected by the constitution to say whatever I want about DC. She hurt me in a badway by dissing my president and my state u my friend are un american

  • @Baylorfan27 how can u say she a "a smartmouth brat who hides behind are constitution for protection" but then use that same constitution that shes "hiding behind" to hide urself and say "Before u cuss me out let me remind u I'm protected by the constitution to say whatever I want " ??. what, is there not enough space behind it for the both of you??? she has a right to say w.e she wants, just like you do.

  • @nashty131 I brought up the point that the lead singer said what she said in the UK because it was like she went behind America's back and insulted it. And good god, sure, the American people have the right to say anything they want under Freedom of Speech and the Constitution, but these rights do not protect them from being ridiculed for what is said or done. You have such a warped understanding of what you're saying it's ridiculous.

  • @1955RodHot Couldn't have said it better!

  • come to us all we love u chicks

  • It was insane how people had reacted towards them. I mean.... Words cannot express how shocked i was.

  • move to Canada grils we love you up here .

,good to here you voice your freedom of speech.

That's the problem with the American's , they,re too brain washed

  • now that i know that 9/11 was preformed by our own goverment i hate bush

  • I still love the Dixie Chicks !

Can't believe how dumb many Americans were during this mess.

Bush lied... and Americans believed him.

  • How did I not know about this dude!!! Are you kidding me? America is full of drama queens!!!!

  • the guy that told them to move to france and those idiots with him need to travel back to soviet russia. they're no better than those fucking commies who deny the speech freedom.
