Wow, Sailor Moon herself got upstaged a lot in the first half of this series. Her transformation is so sub-par. I mean, i guess that makes sense if they have to make her seem less important at first, but then her more unique abilities kind of defeat that purpose.

@TheMightyKilokahn Venus' transformation in PGSM is absolutely incredible...the others, not so much. I think it easily beats most/all of the anime transformations. And if anything has a "spark of magic," it's the manga, not the anime.
IMHO the actresses for Sailor Venus, Sailor Jupiter and Sailor Mars are the best, they look the part and are almost real incarnations of the original characters. I don't know why the people of the show made it so their changed when they did the henshin, it would've been a lot easier if they had just left the wigs on...
@akissy How about because it looks ridiculous for them to wear those wigs in a realistic setting when not in Senshi form? Just because it works well in anime doesn't mean it works well in live-action. Having their hair change into their colored, stylized forms when transformed while looking completely normal in civilian mode was a stroke of brilliance, and it's what makes PGSM work so well.

Everyone that watched/read it knew Usagi would be the moon princess. It was obvious, especially when they showed silhouettes of the princess. Who else has that hair style, honestly?

@SailorMoonAndVenus she doesn't have two. somehow, she has the symbol of the royal family of the moon. and the silver crystal in a different tiara. and she always had the ribbon, except in the live action civilian form. i know it's stupid but that's why we need to keep making fan made sailor moon trailers and henshin and try our best to call out to the goddess, naoko takeuchi, to bless us with at least another season. ^_^

The best transformation ever! It's so idol-ish compared to the other sailor scouts' transformations, which fits sailor venus well in my opinion. The little people ribbon dancing to change her hair are kinda funny, too :P

the others were all relatively the same in the format
Her's was like a slap in the face. Like she deserved a different henshin because she's Venus; moon decoy.
Venus is my second favourite senshi, right after Moon, so I absolutely love her.
I just dislike the fact she gets this ribbon twirler and gets to cat walk in her henshin while the others don't XD

The best transformation ever! It's so idol-ish compared to the other sailor scouts' transformations, which fits sailor venus well in my opinion. The little people ribbon dancing to change her hair are kinda funny, too :P

This is the best transformation sequence in PGSM.
@Austinedd7 :: I don't know for sure, but it's probably episode 17. I haven't actually seen PGSM, but the episode title is rather obvious.
