oh god i pissed myself. i bought a 2001 e39 535. got it checked out before purchase. most of the cooling system was replaced. it still shat itself and leaked coolant every where. i love the car, but this video is so true :)
What movie is this from? I can't remember for the life of me... And thank God I have an E38.. even though it has it's share of problems ;) [Like the regulators which btw one went out on me last week...]
"Even you pompouse M5 owners." Not so pompous now that my fuel pump went out on me! And the friggin' cd changer won't spit out my damn cd's!! And gas is $4.50 a gallon!!! Ah, I can't stay mad at her.
Gents this is hilarious but honestly my 1998 Nuclear Hedonbeast (540i) has so far been super reliable. Bought it in 2007 and it now has 155,000 kilometers on the clock. I replaced the water pump & thermostat as a precautionary measure; they hadn't failed. Other than a few minor suspension parts, it has needed nothing. Honest!
totaly agree, until 150tusen km is perfect car and after that point shit starting to happend, but the real money spending starts after 220tusen km. I still drive old BMW E21 and its more relible until now
lool my 2003 M-Sport needs vapor barriers replaced and at 65k miles is probably overdue the cooling system overhaul. better take it to hitler's bunker :)
HAHAHA, what great acting! this is done by true aficionados! To know all this and it's designers, parts and history. This is great, there aren't many out there that can understand or appreciate this. "Those damn Japanese can build anything!" LMFAO!
I totally identify with this E39 rant. I've had mine for 4 years and its a damned money pit. Vanos seals, intake manifold gaskets, repeated suspension issues. When I bought it I thought I was the man, but it broke my spirit. I slowly became its bitch
cant be more true..this is how i felt since i bought my 540i..my freind warned me about them. he is bmw mechanic..he has a good stable job because of bmw prblms. but i have to admit 540i has alot less prblms than m5.
know this i love those cars no matter what. they are a pleasure to drive , otherwise go drive a toyota tercel.
HAHAHA! I am on my second E39 - both '98 models. One 528 and the "new" one a 540. This video pretty much nails it. I thought I was going to have a coronary with the CEL on the 528...LMAO!
This is hilarious! I have a 1995 E34 540 with a 6 speed. Had it since new - still love driving it. Over 250,000 k's on the original nikasil block. Just starting to leak a bit of oil from the right valve cover gasket - I've been blessed with this one. Cheers.
Hope this aint true cos i just bought an E39!?

I never thought I'd agree with Hitler on anything, but, the cooling system in my 540i is giving me such a headache:)
