  • who is better SACHIN OR LARA??

Pakistanis not allowed to answer hahahaha

  • its funny how that india treat lara like more of a god than anyone in the carribean!

  • "this is not the under 13s that have been drafted to adelaide oval - its pakistan" LOL gotta love ian chappell :P

  • i am saying that brian lara is a bigger match winner than tendulker and even bigger match winner than the great inzaman he won matches for westindies singlehandedly whereas sachin had gifted player like ganguly laxman and dravid brian lara had none and when brian lara he does it with style whether it be odi test t20 i prefer watching lara even for one over only he is the greatest of all time

  • this is how Lara used to bat in younger years in One Day cricket....i watched this live..when he gets going he is unstoppable...but Sachin is better in ODI..

BUT>>>Lara is the best Test batsman of the modern era,he doesnt just score ..he Dominates under tremendous Pressure and a Burden of a Weak team...and since Test Cricket is the Highest and hardest form of the game..he Prevails as the best!!!! his Feats prove it!!

  • Yea Sachin just gave us 200 reasons why he is the best in ODI

  • it didnt surprise me....it was expected,im glad, he deserved it.....however Sachin doesnt produce that kind of innings in test and test cricket is way harder and superior to one-day! {im not offending his skill in making 200n.o,..... in ONE-DAY Sachin's the best}

  • u must be west indian! and i totally agree

  • i am..but i try to look at things from a neutral point of view...i try not to take sides...i have great respect for players all over the world...the legends like Mcgrath, warne, Sachin,kumble,Murali,Lara,etc.......

  • Here's an Indian am saying Brian Charles Lara is the best......we watch a game to get thrill, to pump up our adrenaline and he is the one who has given me the most..... His style, class, and his attitude....he is invincible.......He is the epitome of style...................

  • @hypersonicdragon I agree with you, but sachin played for a very very weak team for many more years than any top player. Especially for most part of his early career he played for a very weak team.

  • im aussie

there is no way Bradman would be in their he was awesome but for his time if he was up against todays bowlers he would hardly hit it

but i guess it doesnt matter

  • you guys are all way off 1 Mark Greatbatch 2 Adam Gilchrist 3 Brian Lara 4 Stephen Fleming 5 Sachin Tendulkar 6 Chris Cairns 7 Daniel Vettori 8 Shane Warne 9 Lance Cairns 10 Curtley Ambrose 11 Alan Donald That would definately be the best team ever, probably unbeatable.
  • where is akram or waqar younas

  • u guys r retarded this is th best team (if your talking all time not current) 1)jack hobbs 2)sunil gavaskar 3)don bradman 4)sachin tendulkar 5)viv richards 6)garry sobers 7)adam gilchrist 8)imran khan 9)malcom marshall 10)shane warne 11)dennis lillee
  • @walkintripod1 good choice but if we were playing ODI's then I would not pick Gavaskar, he would definately be in my test squad though.

  • guys its too hard to pick da best world 11, coz there are bloody too many gud players. there will always be disputes.

  • @wavefrontmaya but sachin & lara wont miss that eleven....damn sure....

  • LARA - The ultimate Master Blaster !

  • no brian lara is the best thing to walk and talk on a cricket pitch!

  • I am from Bangladesh, I am proud enough to witness the second quickest century in ODI (Now the third quickest) by Brian Lara (45 balls) in Dhaka against Bangladesh in year 2000. He ripped every Bangladeshi bowler and the whole stadium were cheering for Lara. That is his greatness, even people like him to destroy their own country with his willow.

  • Gilchrist Hayden Sir Viv Lara Tendulkar Ponting Pollock Warne Lee Bond Akram
  • Hmm, nice team but biased towards Australia. No Jayasuria!! There are better choice of bowlers than Bond and Lee. They are brilliant and match winners but never regarded as great bowlers. Waqar Younis and Mcgrath can replace them. Pollock can be replaced by Curtly Ambrose, the most economical bowler in ODI history.

  • Jayasuria was in consideration but Hayden and Gilchrist formed one of the most formidable opening partnerships of all time. Bond is a lively strike bowler with a more than acceptable economy rate. I think you're right, i wud replace Lee with Waqar but would definitely keep bond. As for Pollock, i had him in the side more as an all rounder

  • After careful reconsideration my new side would be as follows: Gilchrist Hayden Sir Viv Lara Tendulkar Ponting Pollock Warne Waqar Younis Bond Akram
  • Thank You for considering Waqar. A few critical issues you pointed. Great. Pollock will be an effective allrounder, Bond is one of my most favorite bowler.

Now the bowling line up looks more devastating. A great team to destroy the world.

  • PIetersen toooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

  • Replace Hayden with Sir Gary Sobers.

  • wheres Brett Lee?

  • I agee with 10 of the 11. I'd change Bond for an Ambrose or Walsh.

  • I had the privelage to watch this innings live and believe me the way Lara played,I think he summed up the entire ODI innings of a batsman in this knock.

I am a Pakistani but Lara was my best and I loved to see him play and hammer even against my own country.Quality is worth it and LARA gave us quality.Once in a life experience of the great left hander.

  • Best one day batsmen of all time 1. Vivian Richards 2. Brian Lara 3. Javed Miandad 4. Michael Bevan 5. Adam Gilchrist 6. Zaheer Abbas 7. Inzimam-Ul-Haq 8. Sachin Tendulkar 9. Sanath Jaysurya 10. Dean Jones
  • Sachin at no. 8 ? I'm a paki but dude , that's injustice ; that's criminal. Tendulkar deserves to be among the first 3

  • I have also taken into consideration the match winning abilities, style of batting into consideration. For pure batting talent, Sachin will certainly go up the ladder to #3 or #4 with Gilchrist being the other one to climb, but Sachin failed under pressure and when the spotlight was on him. Javed Miandad, Michael Bevan, and Inzimam-Ul-Haq are there not just for the batting talent, but also because of the way they played when the chips were down.

  • 1. Matt Hayden 2.S . Jayasuriya 3.Brain Lara 4Kevin Pietersen /Viv Richards 5 Rick Ponting 6 pollack 7 Gary Sobers wkt 8Warne 9 MCgrath 10 Wasin Akram 11 Andrew Flintoff 1 My team would rip ur team apart
  • ur team has 11 players..

  • no Brian Lara Is The Best Thing To Ever Walk On A Cricket Pitch

  • where's Herchelle Gibbs

  • Lara was the best of his generation. He was a class apart from the rest. For sheer batting talent, I would put Lara ahead of ponting, Inzimam and Tendulkar. They are all second to Brian Lara. Tendulkar has more records because he played more test matches and in one dayers more overs an opener.

    Md. Nayeemuddin (Minhaj)

    Kohir, Hyderabad, India

  • he is god. a real entertainer and worth every cent. to get the record.....twice - those two records won't be beaten . ever

  • Love Ian chappel's comment at end of clip "This is not U13, this is PAk"

  • hahahaha agreed! Chappelli as good as it gets. It's a shame Pakistan is amazingly talented, if only they put their heads down and did the basics right, they'd be world beaters. Still what shots by Lara

  • What a shot at 00:14! He sometimes does jump too far over to the offside, but it worked this time. Some of the late sixes are amazing-Richardsesque!
