All that money spent on reconstruction. Yeah, I get it: feel comfortable with your body etc. But, I live in Africa where reconstructive surgery is low down on the list of social needs. I keep on thinking about the food, clean water, electricity and medicine that Nina's surgery could've funded. Actually, I DO live in Africa. My family stretching from about 10 generations back, were born here and, like them, I'll probably die here too. And YES, I AM white. Yes, I am the product of European colonial expansion in Africa. But, I am passionate about this continent. I am a teacher here. And NO! I NEVER said I don't approve of transgender people.
