However, as a funny, amusing let's play of minecraft, yogscast win. I've seen every episode of their main minecraft series and I watched all of another guy's let's play eps and I think that each minecraft video maker has done significantly awesome/stupid stuff but none can really be labelled 'the best'.

@MineCraftFTW in beta 3.01 when you make a new world you can put in a seed to generate the world a specific way. try making a new world and put in "dan". you should find a big mountain with a lava pool nearbye.

Since the 1.3_01 update there is something called a seed... When making a new world, type in Glacier in the seedbox. Use a program called LolEditor if you want your seed.

Minecraft requires a large ammount of CPU + RAM so basic fix (fast graphics smooth lighting off ALL applications OFF while playing it) If it doesnt fix well easiest way to fix that is dont play or if you cant handle the fact u cant play an uber game like this then buy 2 (yes 2) 2gb rams (does a lot of help to minecraft especially) a 2.10 Duo core would literally be perfect for minecrafteven if i was recording it would stay at about 20-25 fps :D

a good game doesn't necessarily need a goals or quests, a lot of players prefer to roam around a game world and do what they want, instead of doing quests....remember this game is also in its alpha stages, so its going to be improved.... A LOT!!!
