In any case, this game and FF7 are the only games I'll happily admit I repeatedly cried when playing, games today have absolutely nothing when it comes to making an emotional game with relatable characters, and that makes a game you will never forget.

I would buy a Play Station 3 if this game was remade for the console or if I could buy the Play Station 1 version and play it on the console. Truly, I loved this game folks. This is the only (And will remain the only, 'cause I'm not into all that Japanese anime-ish stuff; whatever you call it. I don't care.) Final Fantasy game I've ever played. And number 10 at my friend's house. Auron and Wakka were my favorites in 10.

Even if you're not into animeish things, if you liked 100% of the Final Fantasy games you've played, even going so far as to say you'd buy a $300 console (plus the $60 for the game) just to play a game remake were there one, then the other games should at least be worth trying don't you think?

@SuperNumber777 well, most of the games I like are old (not that I'm not interested in todays new releases, but I have mostly old game consoles, the newest console i'lI have is my PS2) and one of the games I enjoyed most growing up would have to be Legend of Dragoon (PS1) and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of time (N64). Another game in the Final Fantasy series that seems very promising (though I haven't played it myself yet) is Final Fantasy VI, out of all the games I'm most excited about this.

@Raikaze I'm quite sure we'll be seeing a FFVII remake eventually. Square knows how much money there would be in it and they've already milked VII to death with the movie and number of added games. Personally I hope it doesn't happen, just can't see all the funny quirky characters (like Heidegger) and silly side quests like Cloud dressing like a girl being translated to HD without them somehow ruining it. Though I think it might work for VIII, the fan base isn't nearly as big.
