First of all John Stamos is a great drummer, good vocalist and not a bad guitarist. I have seen him perform with Beach Boy touring band many times. Secondly this song originally came out in 1963 not 1962 and Bruce Johnston was part of the Beach Boys in 1965, with a break for a few years during the 1970's.

Beach Boys??? The lead singer in the video, Mike Love, was a Beach Boy. The rest of the guys on stage weren't even alive in 1962. LOL
