  • I'm a huge opeth fan from early ages, i saw them live twice here in portugal and the last one it was only with clean voices by mikael, although it was so damn heavy, they finished the concert with this song, and my oh my this all album works so well live... after the concert i gave this album another listen and believe me, it is different, hard to digest at some points, but truly a masterpiece, the weakest album from opeth, although one of the best albuns i've eard in years

  • Not typical heavy Opeth, but I fell in love with this album within a day of listening to it! This song is definitely the best song on the album! HAIL OPETH!!!

  • I'm not so sure about the whole album, but this song is excellent along with several others.

  • the thing at 3:22 makes it 10x special!!!

  • 4:20 is pure magic! Damn I wish it was longerrrrrrrrr

  • this album is simply a masterpiece and the real shit are people who don't admit this fact...

  • 1:06 - 1:42 a life changer

  • About haters, I think the problem is most people are not ready for Opeth.

  • Why does it have to fade! :(

  • Easily the best song on this album, solo is amazing

  • what an EPIC song man!!! what an EPIC album!!!!!! its just blown me away... a lot of ppl dont like this album... well to all you naysayers!! you got this one wrong!!!!!!!

  • from 4:52 till end starts a different song.

  • You know this is a great song when 5:50 to 8:15 leave chills down your spine and bring you to tears with the last lyrics and outro. God I love OPETH!

  • the outro makes me wannna medieval dance to it!!!!

  • FUCK! looks like I'm gonna have to be the one who makes the bass tab. :(

  • I simply love Opeth, from 2 years to now.

  • Best track on Heritage, who's with me?

  • @siliyemoodislam The fuck is wrong with you?

  • @siliyemoodislam Die.

I'm proud to be a Kāfir, especially as natural scientist.

  • @CountShadow Quran is the source of all sceinces, Allah gives his resourceful knowledge about everything in this and next world! Muhommad was a scientists too, he knew how to treat camels and he made good swords for Islam!

  • @siliyemoodislam Quran has nothing to do with science, this is why west is better than you in science. I know all of you muslims are sick because i live in a muslim country. I hate you all. Now gtfo you close minded bastard, we dont need comments like that on an opeth video

  • @siliyemoodislam Dude, if anyone tried to take Sweden, Mikael Akrefeldt would smite them, so dont even try.

  • @siliyemoodislam No it doesn't silly goatfucker, no country belongs to you. Now how about you go back to playing in the sand while we take care of more important things like Opeth.

  • @siliyemoodislam Lol, obvious troll

  • The. Fucking. Outro. It speaks to my soul.

  • I hated this album at first, and then it became meh for weeks, months.

But recently, something clicked, I love it to death now.

    It's a grower for sure.

  • opeth opeth opeth <3

  • Indeed, that outro is fucking sick! Every time I start to lose faith in this band, they rescue themselves and recapture my undivided attention. There are entertainers....and there are musicians. Without question, Opeth are musicians, and they make the rest of us musicians better every time they strike a note. Thanks boys. (hits repeat) =)

  • I don't care what anyone says... Heritage is an AMAZING album. This goes to show everyone that they can do it all, and they have the balls to do it as well.

  • Best outro ever.

  • Definitely my favorite song on Heritage. Then again this whole album is THE shit!

  • great song

  • Just Opethful!

  • love love love this track!! what a song! and an awesome album also!! all hail Opeth

  • Mi canción favorita del album.

    PROGRESIVOPETH

  • @Alexopeth28 very clever! progresivopeth

  • @coempa i disagree with Opeth changing their sound. This is just one of the many examples of Mikael and co's musical range and style. Not once have they stated they're solely one genre of music. And Heritage is that outcome.

  • @X3rce5 I agree

  • aplausos!! na minha opinião o melhor disco do opeth é heritage! fantastico e viciante!

  • IAMm typint ghis withn m y bhan d but im hgavbin a n orgazsdnm

  • Who the hell give this song a dislike? Let's track him down and make him choose between REPENT OR DIE.

  • In love.

  • It's tracks like these that make you realize: Opeth will always be amazing.

  • Ugh.... Metallica and Lou Reed's Lulu is in the suggestions under this...

  • Such a meaningful album cover!

  • I like the older Opeth material just a bit better. This is great musicianship, it's just less appealing to me, I think they've changed their sound quite a lot.

Which alone is really not a bad thing, it's just that I like it less.

This still proves Mikael being a great musician though!

  • I saw them last night and this was the last song they played.. couldn't have wished for a better ending for a great night of music!

  • Epic Shit as usual.

  • The start is good but 5:00 till the end is epic. Chills down my spine. o_o

  • If I were a Demon Wizard, this entire Album would be my Theme.

  • awesome song live. wish they would all stop broadcast music AFTER the band has ended with a masterpiece

  • This should be Sweden's national anthem ;)

  • @Bruntti If this will be Sweden's national anthem i'm buying a flying ticket RIGHT NOW

  • @Bruntti Thus replacing The Final Countdown

  • I know I must be the fan no. 1000000 to say it,... but after listening to this album for a couple of weeks, and despite the initial dissapointment about expecting a heavier harder death proggy album (as usual from them)... HERITAGE IS THE SHIT.

  • @iVanHalen666 i liked heritage since the first time i listend to it

  • When I hear this song I hear the best band on the planet. 5 musicians that sound amazing together. This song is amazing in the live setting.

  • watched them live 2 days ago... this song was the last of the setlist... it was really great, i hope they come back soon

  • Has anyone noticed that in the cover art, Per's head is falling from the tree, as he left the band during the making of this album, and that the number of skulls is equal to the number of people who have played in Opeth? (remember the band started off as a six-piece without Akerfeldt)

  • @BraydonSzafranski me not. THX!!! interesting detail. I think opeth allways goes away from music and makes the entire album as an art. not only the music!!!

  • @BraydonSzafranski how prog of them to make a meaningful cover hahah good spot.

  • this is my favourite song on the new album. It's just genius. It's like ,well, ...a medieval folk song.

  • hey, weird...

...no hate on this comment thread about a band going exactly where their fingers feel like taking them.

  • This was incredible live.

  • Caught up with these guy's in EDINBURGH this week.AWESOME once again!

  • in alcuni tratti mi ricordano i jethro tull

  • saw Opeth today at Birmingham o2 academy and they were fucking AMAZING

  • First time hearing the new album. Loved Opeth for a long time. Gotta say, this album's amazing. I never get tired of this band. They have a way of staying interesting...

  • The solo at 6:04 is absolute sex to my ear drums.

  • Opeth and Tool are million years of distance from the rest of the bands in this planet.

  • @christiansser2010 And you might be my lost brother?Let me hug you. That was the most mother holy franken fucken amazing comment i ve ever seen. i agree 666% with u. lol cheers

  • intro reminds me of Hargalaten from In Flames - fuckin BRILLIANT intro BRILLIANT BRILLIANT !!!

  • Hey you, will you be true When you can see through what I do Feel the pain in your brain, insane Will I see my name in your scars And you will see what you mean to me

  • The intro and outro in this song are amazing.

  • 0 people prefer Blink 182 than this u.u

  • @vaulttech lol omg xD

  • seriously this is one of opeths best albums since blackwater park imho

  • Ahh good old Steven Wilson. I can see his shades all over the album. Especially this song. Notice how similar are the outros of this and Yellow Hedgerow Dreamscape of Porcupine Tree.

  • @krieghunter Yeah, I can see Steven Wilson's touch all over this album. His new solo album, and Heritage, are my favourite releases of this year, bar none

  • Thid album is great. Epic song

  • they needed more heavy stuff and growling at the show!! this was one of a couple really good songs they played in chicago

  • @boxtrap21 pass that shit already :-]

  • The whole album is beautiful, and it's a fresh direction for Opeth. I'd love to watch them at Birmingham, if it's not already sold out.

  • When they did this song live... no words to describe it.

  • @ruleram1 I couldnt agree with you more. I practially had tears in my eyes i couldn't believe i was witnessing this live.

  • There is something about that outro to this song that is awesome! I don't know what it is. And when I saw them at San Francisco last week, the last 3 songs they played had that infamous Opeth EPIC endings- A Fair Judgement, Hex Omega, and of course as an encore, Folklore. Amazing!

  • Just amazing!

  • Oh my.. That outro.. Outstanding is not the word.. Probably one the best Opeth moments.. This is not music.. This is far and beyond.. It's simply Opeth.. Mikael <3

  • I think that Opeth is one of the best things that ever happened to this World!

  • Epic stoner shit :-) this has a gr8 beginning middle and end :-D

  • @ADDicktinghabit yea I'm coming off of some NYC diesel. good stuff

  • great album, dudes and dudesses also try to listen to My Dying Bride's Evinta

  • 0:00 - 8:16 fuckin' epic

  • fantastic song.. my favourite on heritage

  • the outro is epic shit. this album is great.

  • @frostcleave

from 5:50 till the end so fuckin' outstanding \00/

  • @frostcleave both the outro and the intro

  • @frostcleave Hell yes on that outro, just hauntingly beautiful stuff!!

  • Such a groovy bass line. Great song!

  • inb4 deleted by Youtube

  • Hearing old swedish folk tunes intermingled with Opeth's unique style of 70's-like progginess is quite possibly one of the best things one can 'feel' during music.
