Yeah, this game is awesome. After 3 months of my long, grueling search I finally found this game in some shop in which most of the games do not work. Fortunately this copy works just fine YAY!! :3

In the beast of the lost sea there is a flying creature in the very first room you are spawned to after the cutscene you have to charge jump on super jump to get the creatures' flying ability.

you have to be pixel and swipe a flying creature and turn into it, then use all of it's attacks while you are the creature-that makes you learn them. or, if you're lucky, when you fight it, you can sometimes get their cards.

Gyar, can I ask something? Some people seem to get their characters to float effortlessly, but I can only get mine to flap. Am I missing something I need to unlock?

Do you have custom palette and the wheel function?

If so, you can make some transparent wheels under your character.

Also, if you give the character no legs, then select 'Fluffy' movement from the Edit Movements and that should allow you to float above the ground.

Also, you can just make the legs invisible.

The smoothest hovering is the invisible wheels.

The second smoothest is the 'Fluffy'.

And the third smoothest is invisible legs (depends on what walking style you choose)

Well, not really, flying lowers your attack meter, and plus, you get flying near the end of the game.

i boggled my brain to figure out how to fly the first time!! then i figured out that later on in the game there will be a few select monsters that you can steal the move from.

You must beat the game first if you want them to fly. =)

you don't have to beat the game. In the first room of beast of the lost sea, there is a creature called Turtles who flies from these two platforms repeatedly. all you need to do is jump up to a platform (i recommend making a random REALLY LONG LEGGED creature that can use high jump) when you are on a platform turn back into pixel, use the Graffiti wand to turn into Turtles, and you'll obtain Fly! ^_^

Also, if you do an electric attack in water, it affects all the enemies in the water :)

They should put in a "Swim" function that allows your character to float in water.
