@Tanniab09 The Primer helps with the longevity of the makeup you place on top of it...it can also mimimize creasing...the base helps gives the eyeshadows something to stick to and also appear more vibrant...Especially...White!.­.So by apply a white base like Ebony did...the blue would appear alot brighter :) hope that helps gurl!!
