maaaaaaan, the Theremin fits perfectly with Dub!! what a concept!!! very creative, although i still prefer the original, but this is crazy with a great clip!
The 'ugly clown guy' did play the theremin on the track as well as most of the other instruments. Its a music video, like thousands of music videos, its playback. Its obviously a radio not a theremin, and not meant to be fooling anyone. Chill out.

Really now, how many people on the planet actually know what a theremin IS, much less what it looks like? Okay, all 10 people can raise their hands. Now if he was Milli Vanilly'ing on, like, a fax machine while the playback is, like, a piano, yeah. we'd get the joke. This is not the same. It's just ... what...? Welllll, the scary/ugly makeup kinda sums it up. "Next..."
Theremins can look like radios. Plenty of home-builds are housed in radio cases. You can even make a crude theremin out of radios. ---> watch?v=PSYPUhPGavQ
You have a very good ear, it is indeed a standard moog etherwave. The home built kit versions dont usually have that quality of sound do they?
Maybe you can explain to me what are the main advantages of the moog luxury model, since i have never played one. They seem to facilitate a high of playing, and i wonder how that is achieved.
The etherwave pro (which is sadly no longer in production) has a more linear pitch field than the standard. "Linearity" in this context means that the same hand movement will cause the same relative change in pitch whether near to or far from the pitch rod. This enables the player to develop a set of hand movements to play various intervals, and rely on muscle memory as well as audio feedback for accurate intonation. --- continued in next comment.
Continued from prevoius comment --- the pitch field of the etherwave standard is logarithmic - the notes get closer as the pitch increases, like the frets on a guitar. It is possible to compensate for this by moving closer to the instrument, thereby spreading out the field, for high notes. This is the technique used by Lydia Kavina, who plays a tVox Tour (also not in production) which is a non-linear instrument.
it's just like, throw it on to listen to the music. the video is just for kicks you don't even have to watch it. every other dub video is just prime weed pix. which is cool cuz i'm just ear blowin dro and making my speakers wobble while y'all are on sum other sheet. but this is also fine, like who cares just blast the dub and realax
