@chickachicka54 When you're publishing the video and you get to the video settings screen, instead of saving for best quality for playback on the computer, go to more settings and save as Windows Media DVD Widescreen Quality. Just make sure that you are actually filming in widescreen or you'll get the black bars on the sides of the video.
Good question! No it doesn't. But it can took pretty good low-light video. I was really disappointed that it didn't have night vision, but if you set your exposure right and have a little bit of light (like moonlight or a street light) you can get pretty good night shots.
whats the side affects to filming in HQ and how do i ? i havent opened it yet but can u let me know why u didint film in hq ? and how did u get the video HD ? what do u use to edit ur videos?
There really aren't too many side effects to filming in HQ aside from the quality being better. On this particular video I don't think I had tried the HQ out yet. It's very simple to do, though, it's under a menu on the camera. I think the only reason this popped up as HD was because I saved it like that on Windows Movie Maker. You can save different qualities of video on there.
When you publish your movie, there will be a menu that pops up that says "Choose the settings for your movie." Go down to more settings, click the bubble and the list should be draggable. You can either save it as Windows Media HD 720p, Windows Media HD for Xbox or Windows Media HD 1080p. 1080p is legit high definition, but it helps to have an HD camera for that. I'd go with 720p or HD for Xbox.
this is great!! i havent gotten the camera yet but i heard that it isnt compatible with windows movie maker! so please tell me how you get it to work on windows movie maker!!!

Most of the other videos I've filmed on here were filmed with my SX40. Be sure to check them out if you need better examples.

Yeah it's compatible. I have no problems getting it on a Windows computer using the software that came with it. Macintosh is more tricky.
