Can I suggest, Michael, that you prepare which poems you will read before the discussions, and then practice the reading? With a poet like Hopkins (especially, but with all poets really), the music of the poetry (which you rightly point to in your comments) is essential to its enjoyment. Or let the guest do all the poetry reading.
When Ms Ponsot reads:
"No wonder of it: shéer plód makes plough down sillion
Shine, and blue-bleak embers, ah my dear, Fall, gall themselves, and gash gold-vermillion."
-- Especially the "ah my dear" part -- it was just spectacular.
