I don't think peace comes from within. I think it comes from an external source - that's better than me. What's inside me really isn't all that great. Selfishness, bitterness, greed, anger - like everybody else. I need someone who's external to me, who's better than me, who can come in and clean up my heart - and then I may be able to bring about some small amount of peace. But I definitely can't do it on my own.
