Now that's a true gaming genius for ya. this game is incredibly difficult, I can dream to survive for 5 second in the middle of all this madness. I even thought konami made it unbeatable. its beyond me how they made this game.

Sometimes loops vary depending on the difficulty level. For example, Loop 2 Normal is equivalent to Loop 1 Very Hard and Loop 5 Very Easy.

Any loop can be selected freely after you unlock it.

You don't get it. After you unlock a loop, you can turn the console off, turn it back on again and select the unlocked loop. No-one's talking about 256 hours.

when i was trying to unlock loop 10 my PS2 was crying for mercy XD

then after 14 hours of Gameplay i couldn't feel my back for a week XD ... and without lying i've finally discovered on what is the highest loop in Gradius V .. it's loop 10 ^_^

the prove is :

when i played loop 11 it was completely the same as loop 10 ^_^

I don't think there is an emulator out there that can run PS2 games at full FPS yet... So unless their computer is super mega awesome, I don't think full emulation of this game is possible yet. :/

From what I heard from a comment on another G5 video, the loops will essentially go on forever with 10 being the max difficulty.

This is without doubt the best Gradius game ever, and one of the best side-scrolling shumps ever to grace the previous generation of consoles. Besides, I heard of news about a new Gradius game developed specifically for the PS3.
