at 01:10 that guy made me crying....and i´m an old maiden fan of 37.

However.. I can't help but to notice that a song featured in one of Monty Python's movies is playing in the background. Oh well.. always look on the bright side of life. He got Nicko's drum stick!
@AdmiralCoconuts They always play that song at the end of every gig :D It's great to walk out into the street with crowds of Maiden fans singing 'always look on the bright side of life'!
The footage of the fan getting the drum stick is so great! So emotional! It just sums it up right there, those 30 seconds or so. True art gives true fans!
Not to sound nasty, but that priest is off his head lol. The tattoos arent even that good.... But Iron Maiden is the greatest band I'v ever had the pleasure to hear.
the guy who got the drum stick followed them from the very first one in India! its amazing is it not? my heeart goes out for the Columbian metalheads.
I dont think there is another band that have the capability to generate such powerful energy when you see them live. Both times Ive seen them Ive experienced a powerful happiness that I rarely experience. I can understand what the guy at 1:20 is feeling to some extent. Does anyone else feel the same kind of thing?
@Acetopy2 I saw Maiden when I was 15, and I can't even explain to most people how excited and amazed I was. I haven't felt that way since, and I doubt if I ever will again. The greatest high imaginable.
by yellow press I mean this documentary which is being seen by millions of people,
got nothing against maiden, I kind of like them, I was at that concert, really great singer and show!
I just wanted to mention that maybe putting these clips together with that interview over it makes it look soooo different from reality. In reality most people in Colombia live in peace, get drunk, watch tv, just another capitalist country,
then again reality depends on the perceiving recipient :)
When Run To The Hills first aired on KRQR 97.7 FM in San Francisco, Ca. back in the early 80s, I was immediately hooked to Maiden and till this very day....Im still a Maiden and Metal Fan!
the guy at 1.01, bless. It looks like a pretty emotional time for all maiden fans there, as they will probably never know when or if they'll return
I saw this documentary on BBC4 the other night, I think its great showing these concerts in countries that arn't as fortunate to have big metal acts performing as frequently as the US/UK etc, and how die-hard and loyal Iron Maiden fans really are
@unlikeanyotherhuman that drumstick to him ,(and me and you if we had it),would mean more to Christians than the holy cross. That is how much Maiden means to people ,unlike the modern age music, which makes women look like cheap sluts & makes drug addiction look cool.
For me and 2 billion fans ,Iron Maiden is the drug & seeing them live is like meeting with Jesus himself.
The crying fan T_T made me cry too. He must go through positive emotions afterwards as he got the drumstick AND he'll get a lot of attention from the viewers of this DVD which is a lot ot people.
The crying friend if you read me;Please know that you are a true metal heart. You are a true fan,not a poser.I can understand your feelings when i see the pressure upon you with this film.Stay for metal my friend...God Bless you
wow those people in columbia are awesome! i cant believe how much the cops were mean to them. i dont blame that guy who was crying. thats probably the first concert he has ever seen
Wow. This documentary is more than about Iron Maiden. It's really about the power of music. Many of those fans in places like Costa Rica and Colombia have waited their entire lives to see this band, so it's completely understandable why they would get so emotional and passionate. Most rock music fans living in the U.S. or Europe can see their favorite bands whenever they tour, but seeing a rock band like this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for fans in many other parts of the world.
It's hard to comprehend how much Maiden must mean to these people at the start. They don't have such events there often, and to them Maiden is more than just music. It's a symbol and an icon for much more than only music.
I bet a lot of this crowd had a tear or two at the very end of this show..........passionate crowd...living their dream of seeing Maiden.....and the way the band feeds off the crowd,...it would have been an awesome performance
After maaaany yeeeeeeeeears Colombia is able to get bands of this caliber playing in its stages...I can really understand why the guy with the drumstick was crying...it was pure heaven for him...keep that drumstick till the day of your funeral and God bless you brother.
maiden is timeless :) im 16 and just bought a trooper flag, which hangs on my wall in my bedroom now :) and next week im gonna buy one of their albums
and it doesnt matter how old you are, everybody just loves maiden GONNA SEE THEM LIVE IN JUNE ;D i know im gonna cry too xd
I'm guessing that the drumstick he's holding is one he caught of Nicko's and is just blown away but it all. What a man! I caught a Charlie Watts stick at Wembley once, that was awesome. My Mam threw it out during one of her spring cleans years later, though :-(
he is a friend of mine... pianist... his name is Bruno... yesterday I asked him abt his cryin... eheheh... he said "what? me? no! I don't cry"... hahaha! nice guy.
at 01:10 that guy made me crying....and i´m an old maiden fan of 37.
