I really believe the most amazing, powerful people are those who can be totally honest, own their own truth and learn from experiences.

Mickey has a great sense of humour, mixed with the darkness of someone who has gone through a whole heap of shit and come out the other side, a better person.

If people are completely honest and real others have no power over them, sadly most of society can not handle this level of directness or honestly.

Thank you for your reply, ukgirlonce. I'm not sure who did the interview, but kudos to him for doing it. I believe it was posted back in November. All five parts of this interview were incredible! I was finally able to go see The Wrestler yesterday and have to admit; I cried a few times throughout the movie. However, there are moments that make you smile too. I hope Mickey Rourke wins the Oscar this year.

I never was a fan but loved Diner. I think it was an honest interview you dont get from Hollywood types. Will he close up and be like plastic when fame returns? Remains to be seen.
