  • 1:37 excelente!!

  • @matuca123456 -- muchas gracias :)

  • that's seriously awesome! how did you learn that? did you play it with slower tempo or you just play like that? brilliant!

  • @inezinezia -- this fantastic piece was sent to me by the composer...you should check out antonio's youtube page-- masael255--he's an all around great guy--a scholar, a violinist and a composer. definately played through it slowly a couple of times, then consulted with antonio on a few bowings...then did this vid. glad you liked it :)

  • congratulaiton

for you and for the ocmposer!

  • @mojjao2 -- thanks!

  • well i can't tell because if i do i might ruin the music creativity in other peoples pictures. They need to feel the music and i might ruined them because of my amatour experience. YUP, but u too u guys where great!!!!

  • @milliengr Good point though I'm sure your interpretation is as good an any "expert". Still, I'm glad you enjoyed it. :D

  • wow!!!!!!! the song is breath taking! great tone violin fantasting job! the composer IS a genuis such an amazzing song. the phracing, the enthuasim, the vib, the goosebumps, the picture that the piece plays, it just comes all together IT IS AMAZING!

  • @milliengr -- i was very honored that antonio permitted me to perform his masterpiece and post it on youtube. for all of those who haven't seen his youtube page, go to masael255 :D

  • @milliengr Yikes, thank you so much but I don't think I deserve genius status. x_x Besides, what I wrote was merely an outline for a great violinist to adapt and develop into something greater. Notes on a page are simply notes on a page until a great musician, like both from eboyinc, make those notes into amazing music. While I thank you, again, the credit really goes to eboyinc.

Though, from a composer's perspective, I am curious what the picture is that you feel from this piece?

  • Amazing!

  • @EEGproductions -- thanks so much!!! this is an amazing composition from an equally amazing composer...check out antonio at masael255 -- he's awsome and i have to say, one of the nicest people i've met thorugh youtube.

  • @eboyinc Will do :) Thank you very much!

  • @eboyinc Will do :) Thank you very much!

  • @eboyinc x_x Okay, I need to up my "jerk-o-meter" so I'm not one of the nicest people on youtube. xD

  • that was amazing i might want to play the violin now because of this video

    it's so elegant

  • @Godzmin -- thanks...glad to hear it. you should check out the composer's page, masael255...he was kind enough to send me this piece...its an aswome work .

  • i don't know why you're uploading this amazing samples, nor how you've managed to obtain access to such an impresive collection, but really, i believe it's magnificent !! I'm an old beginner (26) with just one year of learning the only instrument i've had or tried to learn, and seeing your videos not only helps me to notice technical details (i haven't accomplished vibrato yet) but also suggests me works to play. I liked this. Congratulations, greetings and, THANKS!

  • @sellaelpolvolaboca -- thanks so much for writing. my brother and i are doing these sound samples to help catalog a major violin collection that belongs to the estate of a former professional violinist. we also post our own videos to our other youtube page, Musicasa2ndlanguage -- the violin is a fantastic instrument as i'm sure you can appreciate after a year of study. the vibrato will come to you, don't worry...enjoy it all :D

  • amazing never heard such intense sound b4 keep it up!

  • To teddybearxoxoxo --- hey thanks so much!!! its a terrific piece and that helps alot. it was sent to me by the composer---you should check him out, he's a very cool guy - masael255...

  • @eboyinc i will thankz!

  • Im not a fan of violin music, so I don't really like this, but still, i know that it's extremely difficult, so it's really good.

  • @x0BSESSIONx -- hey thanks...hope you listen to some more violin -- you might come to like it.

  • e voce fala todos esses idiomas mesmo ou usa tradutor :P?

  • to tuliopcc -- eu falo em ingles e eu estudo o espanhol em minha escola secundaria. Para traduzir portugues e italiano, eu uso um dicionário.

  • you could play the last of the Mohicans theme?

    me to analyze? :)

is a beautiful song for violin

  • to tuliopcc - i don't know this piece, but if i can find some music for it, i'd give it a try.

  • this is amazing

  • to xItachisGFx -- thanks so much!!!

  • BRAVO.. BRAVO

  • thanks so much...you should check out masael255...antonio wrote this piece and was thoughtful enough to allow me to play it...he's a talented violinist and composer himself (and a scholar) who has been very supportive :D

  • aonde voce arranja tudo essas partitura ?

  • faz a boa fortuna para mim que o compositor desta partitura mea emitiu ao toque em meu violino. você pode ver o antonio em sua canaleta do youtube, masael255.

  • Seems like this fits into summer....the fourth movement of summer would be more appropriate haha...

  • Well, when I wrote it I intended to mirror aspects of Vivaldi, summer being my main influence in this work. However, I composed the three movements to refer to the metaphysical and intangible; hence the "fifth" season. :D

  • I just watched a video titled "Prokofiev Sonata for 2 violins Mov. 3" ---is that you and your brother? you guys are so young!!! And brilliant!!!!

  • @enzoportaviolino -- yes, that's us. we post our performances on our other Youtube page -- musicasa2ndlanguage

  • You play brilliantly !!! Bravo :) !

  • hey thanks so much :D

  • very nice thanks for uploading i cant wait to start my violin lessions

  • sometimes, i feel the melody a kind of desoriented... everything from da capo al fine is creepy & passionated; the rythm, pardiez!! it's a beautiful piece... well it seems to me.. yeah your right hand tecnic is interesant, brilliant, thank you very much for this.. from mexico, thanks ;)

  • Sorry to hop in on your page, eboyinc, but just wanted to make a few responses on the behalf of the piece as the composer. :P The disoriented nature of the melody is intended to be that was as it relates to the "numinous", that sort of ineffable and indescribable experience. The element of creepiness is, also, part of it, as often these experiences are described as terrifying. The Mysterium Tremendum, in Latin, if you will. Thank you very much for enjoying my piece. A big congratulations to...

  • ...the violinist who played this, too. Her rendition of it was amazing and offers a new and interesting look at this piece. Her playing this makes this piece just that much more special. :D One of these days, I'll get to writing out the other two movements. XP

  • what can i say....i never argue with the composer :D thanks antonio...can't wait for more of your amazing composition!!!!

  • @eboyinc I'm trying to find time for it...but I'm working on something much bigger now. *suspense* :D

  • ok antonio...i'm hooked :D and i'm guessing... whatever it is, knowing you, its majorly terrific!!! have a happy thanksgiving!

  • @eboyinc Well, since it'll take about 2 years to complete or so I'll fill you in now. I'm composing my first symphony. @_@ It's gonna be intense...and it's how I'm going to get my Master's degree. xD

  • awsome...that's really exciitng!!!! tons of work but i'm betting that it will be an important work. bravo!

  • @eboyinc I'm really looking forward to it. I've started basic composition of it right now, but nothing really tangible yet. A lot of pre-composition work. When I get some stuff down, though, I'll shoot it your way. :D

  • you know i'd love to see it...try it out :D

  • simply (&) amazing.... bravo!!

  • thanks so much...check out the composer (masael255) performing this and other pieces...he's an extremely talented violinist as well as being a gifted composer :D

  • You are a perfect! Kisses from Brasil!

  • Let me see... your rigth hand technic is really amazing... I want see more... please

  • Cool really nice

  • hey thanks! i have to give alot of credit for this video to the composer who sent me a copy of his original composition...to try out...and then to post. check his channel out...(masael255)...antonio is a fine violinist, a great composer and all around smart guy.

  • great job!who made the violin?

    thanks

  • hi...the violin is part of a large collection of fine violins that my brother and i are sound sampling here on youtube. i remember this violin was made by an American maker, but i don't recall the name. if i get a chance, i'll go through the instruments sometime when i have some spare time and see if i can find it :D

  • that gave me chills. amazing.

  • thanks so much...antonio (masael255) sent me this...an original composition...and allowed me to play it here on youtube. check him out...he's a great guy, a genuine intellectual and a gifted violinist and composer :D

  • MP3? Gracias

  • Aye it isn't the most difficult piece. However, on piano/keyboard it is very doable. It just requires some arranging. Though what I would like to hear most is this piece on an acoustic guitar. Mayhaps I can entice a guitarist for this, one day.

  • Just don't arrange anything. Try to pick up the original version for Violin and try to play on keys. It's hard, I play Summer Presto and I know that.

  • Or a cellistO_O

  • u have more views than the composer lol

  • Haha wait! That's not right!! XP Kidding, kidding. She's a terrific violinist and it doesn't matter, to me, if people come to my side to hear it or hers; I'm just completely honored that she was gracious enough to play this piece for you all. :D

  • thanks antonio...i can't believe that a year has gone by since you sent me this :D

  • Wow it has been a year.....where the time flies....I'm in the process of penning the first two movements fully and, then, when I have those done I am looking to publish them. :D How goes life as of late? We haven't touched base in a while!

  • have you heard the expression..."behind every good violinist are great composers"

the composer is a fantastic violinist and clearly a phenomenal composer. i was honored to get to play his composition...and would play anything he wrote. the number of views probably has more to do with the number of videos i have posted...than anything else. thanks :D

  • A composer would be nothing if great musicians weren't able to perform his/her music. :P

  • wow this song it just soo amazing thanx for posting!!!^^

  • I never get tired of this, That composer is a genius!

  • thnx!!!!!!!! I love this piece

  • This piece is just EPIC in everyway possible.

    <33

  • This is just an amazing piece.

    x-x

To the person that composed this, I love you.

    Along with the violinist here.

    T_T

  • seems liek ur going to light the strings on fire o.O

  • thanks so much :D

  • I've listened it again and again and again, superb, really

  • thans...its a really great piece to play that was sent to me by a fantastic violinist and composer on youtube...you should check him out---he's masael255 :D

  • It actually gave me chills (in a good way) :D

    :D

    :D

  • i'm glad you liked it :D

  • after I'm done with summer violin classes. My instructor said if we had a scale of over 10, were gonna be level .5 lol

Can anyone PM me what pieces are good to practice with to get used to the quicker pace of violin playing?

  • hi, for those of us that aren't familiar with these grading systems, can you tell us what pieces you're working on now...what books you're using (like etude books etc) :D

  • omg i cant even do that yet im like level 2 violin

  • give it time, you'll be able to do this...its a fun piece written by a talented youtube violinist and composer who sent me a copy to try out :D

  • wow your amazing.. i love to listen to the violin

  • I love it!

  • hi...i love this too, not only because it's a beautiful and intense piece, but because its youtube at its best...masael255, a talented violinist and phenomenal composer (and all around intellect) was nice enough to send me this piece to record :D any new pieces? or comedy routines posted lately? has everybody checked out TheSingingViolinist yet?

  • ha ha:D Thanks. Not much new stuff yet as I'm working with the arts village people, which is a colective channel. Maybe you've seen it? the AVCollegeStudents???? :D:D:D:D

  • X_X You're just buttering my ego now. :P Been a while! How have things been? How's school coming along?

  • school is good...only a few more weeks til summer...i can't wait. do you do classes over summer? your 5th season is still one of the most commented and popluar videos...you are what you are...a talented violinist and composer (and scholar) :D

  • Yeah Summer's almost here!! :D No classes for me this summer...I'm graduating! :D *dances the dance of a million dances*. Then grad school next semester. :P

Well uh...^_^;;; *ahem* Thank you. I should pen out the other two movements this summer so I can, hopefully, publish them. That'd be pretty sweet. :D Oh, and if it gets approved by my graduate program I'll be composing my first symphony over the next two years *dun dun dunnn!!!* Kinda scary, no? X_X

  • hey thanks so much!!! props have to go to masael255...a terrific violinist and very talented composer who wrote Vivaldi's Fifth and sent me the sheet music so that I could play it here :D

  • wow you're amazing....why do you hide ur face tho

  • hi...well, we're doing these sound samples for an estate collection of violins. they're documenting the collection and it'll all end up in some library at some point. so they thought it was best to focus on the violins, not the violinists since they want the whole thing to be about the sound qualities...differences, similarities...etc...not about who's playing them. kinda makes sense :D

  • are you standing? you look like you might be standing. with the angle of your violin being what it is, can you sit? do you have trouble with your bow arm hitting your knees? that violin is very tilted compared to how I play and what I am usedto seeing.. do you use a special shoulder or chin rest? or maybe it's the angle of the camera.

  • hi, i don't know if i ever answered you or not, so i'll post an answer now. no, i use a regular shoulder rest. i am trying to keep the violin in the light and my inclination is to move about a bit as i play...so from time to time i remember to get back under the light...and when i do i sort of tip into it. i'm standing :D

  • AMAZING!!! You are VERY talented! Keep up the good work!

  • Very impressive,I must admit. I think that if it was composed to guitar itwould be nice but would not have the same effect.

  • thanks! glad you liked it. it would make a neat guitar piece--you should ask masael255 who composed this piece and was nice enough to send it to me to play what he thinks :D

  • Dang, You cease to amaze:P So cooooool!

  • Guitar would be interesting. I have goofed around with it on piano and it sounds very nice...I just need to figure out the background accompaniment. I'd like to expand it for string orchestra too. For guitar I think it would sound better a bit more slowed down and more tempo-ad-lib. I need to find a classical guitarist to fiddle (no pun intended) with it.

  • A musical genius... Very awesome:D

  • wow!

  • glad you liked it...i was soooo lucky that the composer of this variation on a theme by vivaldi was sent to me by the composer...who allowed me to play it on YT. Check the composer out on YT at masael255...Antonio is a final performer and composer and a bit of a philosopher. he's also baiting my brother into a fiddle duel :D

  • AMAZING!!!!

  • thanks so much...i was very lucky that the composer sent me the score...check out his yt videos at masael255 :D

  • SWEET.

  • hey thanks :D

  • That was fantastic!

  • hi, thanks for watching the video...i love this piece--written by a very talented up-&-coming composer who sent it to me to play :D

  • ooooh, i see you're a player AND a knitter...i always wanted to learn how to knit--my dad bought me a kit with a video, yarn and knitting needles but i couldn't get the hang of it :/

  • If your this good with the Violin I think you can do anything you put your mind to. So get knitting! :)

  • did you teach yourself?

  • Sort of....I started by coming up with my own wild and crazy stiches and then started watching a ton of instruction videos our site youtube. I'll find a really good video and send it to you.

  • hey thanks for sharing the vids...it's a little like magic, but i'm motivated to try (plus i really liked the background music--wish they said what it was) :D

  • AMAZING. Some more years and you'll be a great violinist

  • thanks so much for saying so! this is a wonderful original piece that was sent to me by the composer to try out...it's really something special i think :D

  • Where did you get the sheet music for this? I've searched but cannot find the sheet music for this online. If you gave me the name of the book its out of or where you got it so that I can buy it too, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

  • hi...the composer of this piece sent it to me...he's a talented violinist as well. you can check out more of youtube page...he's masael255 --great person, great player, and obviously a terrific composer :D

  • This piece is so great I have to listen to it over and over again and I don't get enough

It would be wonderful if I could try to play this

  • I don't know how to play violin, but wow, I like it so much and your playing is really great! Continue the good work!

  • thanks so much...i'm here still working on it :D

  • I want to say thank you. I had this idea for a poem... the idea of a fifth season. And this is it. When and if I get around to writing it I'll show you. But this is what I'll be listening to... thanks again.

    James.

  • have you thought about signing with the famous EMI? im not a violinist-but i study the players by listening to them. if i close my eyes, its as though im listening to a world renknowned violinist like perlman or heifetz. the elite violinist. :-) YOU ARE GREAT!!

  • wow...it's not everyday you get compared to perlman or heifetz...that's very flattering. i'm nowhere near that level, but with support like yours, who knows... i'll post some new vids tonight :D

  • lol, you really have talent. your level of playing is really advanced.i bet you can play vitalis chaccone right through w/o any problems. the violins you use are amazing!!

  • WoW he is very good violin player =)

  • its a girl not a guy ._.

  • thanks for helping me here :D

  • Amazing. I honestly don't know what to say...you did it wonderfully. You have made 2008 one of the best years for that alone. I was moved to tears. Thank you very much. You do me too much honor though. @_@ "Special musician and scholar,"? That's a bit much, isn't it? ^_^;;;; *embarrassed* But seriously, thank you. Thank you. Thank you. *cao taos*

  • oh i'm so glad you approve...thanks again for sending me your coposition...i loved playing it - this recording was the first out of the box, but i wanted to post it...i'd like to redo it :D

  • Haha, feel free to redo it as much as you want. I'm working on writing a few cadenzas...I have about three types of cadenzas I play when I improvise them. When/if I get them done I'll shoot 'em your way. Oh, and the first and second movement, of course. :D Oh, and check my version of this piece again; comment from mike35141 gave you a compliment there too. :D

  • Brava!

  • thanks! i'm lucky to have had the opportunity to play this piece...courtesy of the composer, masael225 :D
