  • THIS VIDEO FIRST HELPED LEARNING SIGHN LANGUAGE AND I HOPE IT HELPS MANY MORE SO THEY CAN COMMUNICATE WITH THE DEAF.

  • thank you for sharing this vid. i'm teaching my 5 months old baby think it's really cool and useful

hugx from thai who staying in singapore ^^

  • i'm an english teacher in mexico, and this the first time i teach my kids signing ABC. This is helping my kids A LOT to read and write!! this made learning letters and sounds the fastest i've ever seen! You know, english pronunciation is totally different from spanish, and this makes difficult for kids learning to read, because they confused the spanish and english phonetics (they're learning to read and write in spanish at the same time) thank you very much!!

  • i am 11 and this has been a great help!

  • Hi I love what you're doing and thankyou soo much for all the amazing video. I had a quick question for you, when doing alphabets, is better to start with one 'type' of letter case (capital or small letter)? just to keep consistency or toddlers can learn both simultaneously. I'm very confused when teaching my toddler. Hoping to hear back from you.

    Thanks!

  • @khanmaida Good question. When I started with my daughter I stared with capital letters. For some reason they tend to learn these first. Then I would move on to lower case letters once her upper case were solid. Then you can combine them.

  • My son is 2.5 years old. He wasn't learning his letters very well so we started watching a regimen of ABC videos for 20 minutes every night before bed. We always start off with this one, then continue with the one with Fireese making words on your fridge. Then we play a bunch of others. Now he runs around saying A B E A B E! I sign letters to him often. Now I can show him a letter hand sign and have him select it on the keyboard and name it. Thank you MSH!!

  • i lov tis. so cute girl

  • Kenshinforever, please remember that with very young children, they do not have the same motor control skills that you have as an older person or even an older child. Freize's hand shape was totally within the realm of acceptability... GOOD JOB!!!

  • for "p," is your hand supposed to be turned out, or should it be like the girl's hand (facing you)?

  • @KenshinForever for 'P' it should be facing you, it should feel comfortable. I just showed it that way so you could see where to place your thumb.

  • lol, I am 19y old and singing this song to learn American letters (I am European).

anyways, great video! helping me a lot

  • great girl super work!!! I love this

  • Haha isn't that kid just adorable.

This is such a cute way of teaching sign language. I'm 17 and I'm entertained and interested!

  • No zed?

  • @yaddleskidaddle The one with 'zed' in it is the 'Canadian' version. This one is the 'zee' American version

  • HI, im 13 nearly 14 and i am really interested in sign language. I live in spain but speek english perfectly. I am self teaching myself sign language, do you think it will be hard to do? I already know a few words.

  • @cheekyloas that's great! It is much easier learning a language when you are young! I think if you keep it up you'll learn in no time!

  • @cheekyloas Me to

  • @cheekyloas I'm teaching myself as well. Its easier if you can goes somewhere quiet so words dont get in the way of signs. Also try writing a conversation down and signing it. The sign language book is a great rescource and it has quizzes after ever chapter so you can track your learning.

  • I love this one

  • She is sooo cute doing the signing!

  • shes soooo cute!!!

  • that lil girl is so cute.!

  • Im ever so slowly teaching myself sign language. I want to become a teacher , i am going back in forth on being a elementary teacher or becoming a high school teacher, and possibly bringing an ASL class to the school where i live instead of the usual french and spanish classes.

  • Many thanks, that's far better than those videos made by japanesse people (mainly because I don't trust their spelling)

  • i love it my son does tooo

  • I will use it for my primary SEN students, thank you for posting it.

  • I will use it for my primary SEN students, thank you for the posting

  • How come theres a different version for americans? surely its supposed to be universal?

  • sign language is actually not universal believe it or not and the reason they are different is because in the US you say zee for 'z' and we say zed :-)

Also, sorry for the delay in my response, I didn't see this comment until now!

  • gud for kids

  • I'm starting to do this as well its really fun :D

  • nice video, i like it so cute!!!!!

It didn't take long to teach her the signs, we just did it everyday and she picked it up :-)

  • Ya I was reading your comments, and you replied to some1 that you live in Canada?! Is it fun there? I also have ANOTHER question. How old is Fireese? She is like 3 right?

  • Yes, we are Canadian. I like living here but we LOVE visiting the US :-) We go on road trips down south every year.

Fireese is now three and a half.

If any one knows any good sites or books about sign language please inform me about it, I want to learn more.

  • Thank you :-)

If you google lifeprint or ASL dictionary it will take you to the lifeprint website. When you are there you can click on lessons. Bill offers everyone free ASL lessons through his site, they are very good!

  • Excellent Video Thank you :)

  • thank you for your comment ill keep at it..

  • You guys are amazing- I found the original baby Fireese video a couple of weeks ago- and am so glad I did! I am married, no kids, but I'm now avid about my future child learning signs!! I'm learning so many signs by watching this- this is definitely not just for kids! THANK YOU!

In holland it's al little bit diffent but I love it anyway. What a cute kid!!

  • so dose it matter if your thumb cant tuch your pinky for things like the W and M ect... i used to play a lot of sports and i have pritty mutch mashed or broken every finger and im trying to learn the ABC's for my brother n law but... well U c my problem... so is there other ways to sign W or M ect... fo me i know M looks kinda like +/// but i can only reach //+/... so... ya... i mean im damn good at center in football but... kinda bad at sign.. XD

  • I had a person in one of my ASL classes that had the same problem. He just did his best and we always managed to understand what he was signing. It's great that you are trying!!

    :-)

  • I'm 16 and I am certainly learning how to sign the alphabet with this video, it's not only for kids it's for adults too! lol

  • my 17 month old loves this song and knows about 45 signs, and she is starting to say most of the words to the signs clearly. We expect her to be fully vocal by her 2nd birthday this September!

  • hey laura...this is brilliant work!!...teaches alphabets, sound n sign language ....your kid is amazing ....my kid loves this song.....I stay in london..Do u have british version of this song?...

  • Thank you! I don't have a UK version but I should make one :-) The closest is probably the Canadian version seeing that our heritage steams from Britain.

  • Hey..thanks for prompt reply...i meant was for signs ..i feel american version is quite easy. But i realised recently that BSL uses both hands for signing alphabets......I will grateful if u could incorporate BSL, Alhpabets in ur nice phonics song...Thanks

  • LOL! Of course that's what you meant :-) oops

I'd have to learn it first!! I'll try to do one in the future if I can learn the alphabet.

  • I will teach this to my daughter, she is just 1 month but im preparing the videos, pls more video Laura and Fireese, Im from malaysia, TQ

  • its very nice. she is more learning improve sign language. im glad you always teach your daughter. Smile... God bless you always

    she's so cute :)

  • Thank you for this video! My 4 year old was diagnosed with a bilat. high tone hearing loss last year. We were shocked- he speaks well. He is currently wears hearing aides. Now that he is in preschool learning his letters we are relizing how profound this loss is. He does not hear the sounds of the beginning and end of words. And now he is learing letter we relize he can't distinguish the different sounds each letter makes. I will def. use this video with him...Thank you so much!!!

  • WOW!

  • This video is wonderful! My daughter is almost eighteen months and she knows more than 80 signs. We are now working on letters and reading. She frequently watches this video and it has helped her learn phonics, written letters, and signs. Thank you for making this!

  • I love the way the baby made the J and the Z

    so cute ^^...

  • me 2 :)

  • this is so cool!

  • I am trying to learn sign language and these videos are really helping!! It really helps seeing her do them too.

  • what the difference between the american and canada abc's?

  • The only difference is for the letter 'z' we say 'zed' in Canada instead of 'zee'. It's often hard to find songs that have 'zed' so I wanted to make sure to have both options for people.

    :-)

    Laura

  • thank so much for this video!

and would you like to teach me where can i get this song?

  • Thank you :-)

If you click on the link in the description where it says mindbites that will take you right to where you can download the song. It is free to download until Nov. 28th but you have to create an account to see the files.

  • look at her! she is so cute. i have recently started learning sign language. I hope it is not different in different places, as the spoken language is so many around the world.

  • D: that's unfortunate.

sign language is just like a spoken language, otherwise grammar/vocab would be too difficult.

  • amazing and very cute!

  • Love all your videos and Fireese is getting to be such a little lady! My kids have started to slack a little with signing but we (parents) do it anyway, and watch lots of signing time videos :) Can't wait to see Fireese on the show!

  • Amazing, my daughter is 6 months old and am so inspired by you and your daughter keep it up. just amaaazing...

  • Your daughter is adorable. I am teaching my son the sign language too. It works.., now he is 14 months old. He can do about 10 signs and understand more than 20.

  • cool

  • thats so cute. ima teach my lil bro how to sign.
