1 of my favorite songs..... relax on the sofa, turn the bass up a little, close your eyes and enjoy......... the best track on rhythm&stealth.... and one of leftfields finest..
One of the best techno/rock band from the 90's. Their song with John Lydon is a masterpiece. I am listening to "Rythm and Stealth" for the first time in year and the music is still brilliant...Wish they could still record some other stuff !
Just like one other comment said, just like Leftfield, perfect. It's an amazing video. The rum thing is that I had this on my disk, yet never watched it until I browsed to this page. It's mind-blowing, and assumes you're really familiar with the song, which goes without saying. Incredible video, amazing to show how people really enjoy music...
It makes me feel in so many places in the world. A rainy day in Berlin. Christmas in New York. Autumn in Paris. Sunset in Rio. Summer in Sydney. Saturday in Tokyo. In a South African ghetto. A cloudy day in London. A warm night in Barcelona. Winter in Moscow. F*ck Music!!
I never really understood this video. There is something about it that seems a bit bleek too. but also normal. and reaching out to people. music that inspires people or makes them feel something. true art.
The various people singing along to the tune (often out of key) makes this video truly brilliant to me. To conclude with the description: "Criminally overlooked".
Danger, in every corner. I have become pure water. I can identify. I close my eyes. I wear my sword at my side [x2] Cleanse me. Deep in the fire. I have become pure water. I wear my sword at my side [x4] I have become pure water [x2] I have become pure water
Danger, in every corner I have become pure water I can identify I close my eyes I wear my sword at my side (x2) Cleanse me Deep in the fire I have become pure water I wear my sword at my side (x4) I have become pure water (x2) I have become pure water
to me it's about d multitude of personal universes existing @ the same time - the way we all live our lives but can find communal inputs sometimes, like listening to the same music over the radio
this video represents d various highly personal takes we can have on the same thing
everyone's a warrior, struggling with the different things we encounter in live, but struggling all the same nevertheless
the original song being deformed is a small price to pay 4 such a msg.
Dundee is not a fictional character "mon" ...read up on your history, the real Dundee IS a national hero, he was killed by Australian Government agents and police because he grew cannabis and wanted to protect his homestead. They came to get him, shootout went down, he went down. With guns a blazin. He's a hero because he didn't take no shit. God rest his soul.
Dont be knocking Dundee that man is a national F*%kin treasure, as for HB i had to google him to find out who you where talking about, i then realized he was from Neighbors a show Australians dont watch but export much like fosters, non of us drink that camels piss by the way,but please enlighten us all to what majestic country where tards watch neighbors enough to know the characters names, could it be England ?
Saw Leftfield live at Glastonbury in 2000 and it was absolutely mental. They rocked it. They add a bit more to their music live. My ears were ringing for days after.
Leftfield's stuff was awesome, really shocking that he was not far more popular. His first album is nigh on perfection & Afro Ride is seminal. He also knows how to work in other styles than just standard 4/4 which for the genre is quite rare.
it s like different people, different situations and somehow all united through the emotion of this one very same song, almost collective thinking in one single direction, in one constant thought, a focus.
rite enough like, ill buy an ipod, put this song on, hire a smoke machine, close of all the roads, wait till night, get all my mates to stand in the road and look up at the sky while i listen 2 my ipod
try listening to this song while on a hill, in the dead of night, mist all around you, the sound of cars roaring in the distance, with your mates just staring into the stars. i did one night last year and it just took me away. beautiful song.
Awesome...awesome track. Seems that their music can move anyone, just like the array of folks in the video. Everyone gets something different..but they each got *something*.
Takes me back, I remember buying Rhythm and Stealth in 1999 and being blown away by it - imo one of the best works of British electronic music ever.
I'd never seen this video but its very well done, compliments the track nicely. Shame we'll likely never hear any new Leftfield stuff though :( treasure your cd's and vinyl, they're already classics!
I close my eyes.
I wear my sword at my side (x2).
Cleanse me.
Deep in the fire.
I have become pure water.
