this is mainly escrima and some handdrills also..it's similar to lat sao.
btw is was Keith Kernspecht(head of wing tsun europe) idea to incorporate escrima into the wing tsun system (mainly because he teaches police and military in europe) and he asked the head of a wellknown escrima school if he wanted to join..so the guy accepted and there u go...all Keith is doing to open your mind to things that work in todays life in selfdefence..following bruce lee's teachings
Do note that GGM Latosa resigned from the EWTO as the political climate began to get ridiculous. As can be seen the escrima has deteriorated accordingly... Do not get me wrong Kernspecht is a great martial artist and I'm sure he continues to produce quality students...
Trakkaton with regards to WT in MMA it has been used:
wt-uk[dot]co[dot]uk/mag06/index.html the guy in the interview is my trainer and I've asked him about the fight. Basically while it's possible to use Wing Chun/Tsun in MMA it's not really usable on its own because some of the classical reactions that are evoked violate the rules. However you might take the example of Henning Daverne who applied the principles of WT to boxing winning 7 out of 7 fights.
This stick fighting Vid looked more realistic than the WingTsun sticky hands vid. That is not too effective against Jiu Jitsu or wrestlers that bypass the hands and take u down. The bat or sticks could present some difficulties .
What do you guess, why it is called "sticky hands"? Surely not because they are ment to be byepassed easily.
And since no one without a better chi sao then your own could pass your hands, a jiu jitsu or wrestler (who usually dont have chi sao inculded in their training) would have problems taking you down, while they stick to your hands.
Unfortunately,Sticky hands training is usually practiced in one range. Jiu Jitsu deals with all 4 ranges, with the majority of the techniques worked from the clinch to the ground. Wrestlers train like madmen to avoid anyone grabbing them. Because they dont use a fancy word like"chi sao" to describe how they "bypass" hands- beleive me- A man that spends years practicing live shoots, takedowns, and sprawls-live sparring)has full body" chi sao " .
WT does have methods for dealings with Wrestlers/Judo fighters Keith Kernspecht's On Single Combat gives some great examples and testimonials from wrestlers who've come off worse to WT.
I wont dispute that. I will state factually that the " dealings" I've seen usually involve a rapid takedown - a minute or two of flailing and pinching, followed by a tap out or unconsciousness. Tag "Jiu JItsu Vs Kung Fu" here. You will probably see what I mean.
Baseball bat? Brah ha ha ha! Do you have "Bat" Cham Do too? Brah ha ha.... help :( I can't breath! ROFLMAO!! Anything goes with WT these days!! Trailer trash LThugWT Enema! These trashes are SO dead in real fights!!
Mofotox, isn't the whole concept of self defence martial arts that of reality, and in reality, anything goes? The only restrictions made to Wing Tsun (or any training for that matter) are ones made by your mind. Human abilities are constantly evolving and developing, and so should a realistic self defence system. Fighting today differs from a century ago, don't you think?

Io "questo" non lo conosco, ma intanto ha una fluidità che molti Wing chunners si sognano di notte.
