These so called gas chambers were to disinfect the inmates to try to prevent the spread of the disease, and were never used to kill people. I don't really see why some are upset over this film and are saying it's false. It's obviously false, it's a propaganda film as the information states. This was meant to fool the German people into believing that everything was alright. There is no more reason to point out that this film doesn't show the truth than there is to point out the failure of communism in the former USSR.

The Red Cross visited Thereisienstadt during the war, and reported back that all was well.. I know there had been train loads of the sick and dying who had left Thereisienstadt the week before. Somehow the Nazis managed to make Theresienstadt seem as shown in the movie, they brought the sick and dying to Auschwitz, re-built and decorated Theresienstadt, so when the delegated visited they acually believed that everything was alright. The Red Cross of Denmark was sent to visit to see that the danish jews weren't being badly treated, and the Nazi's sent all the sick, malnurished people at the camps to Auschwitz and kept the healthy ones there, they repainted the place, built nice buildings and cafes and places for the people to work, the danes then came in and saw that it was a "clean good" place and left. The Nazi's then felt that they did such a good job fooling the danes they would make a movie about it. Thats what happened
One of the delegates said that he had known everything was planned and arranged but they had come to Terezin to make sure the Danish were treated well and he was afraid that if he was going to report the situtation, the danes (about 400 in Terezin) would get killed and killing, in general, would intensify. In my opinion, they knew there was some killing going on but didn't know it would result in 6 million deaths.

I know of many Jewish families who went to Bergen-Belsen concentration camp and survived from 1943-45 including Jewish babies born in 1943 in Amsterdam, today 67 year old. They were not killed. If a general plan to physically kill all Jews had existed, this would have been impossible.
@IustitiaPax The Final Solution was an eventual plan to kill all the Jews. 100,000 people were executed at Bergen-Belsen and a further 35,000 died of typhus. Many did survive; the useful workers and able craftsmen, but many also died. So the people who were shipped in the last few months had a higher chance to get rescued by the allies and THIS is why they survived. In early 1945, famous witness Primo Levi said he was treated for a disease in the Auschwitz camp hospital. Why would they cure inmates, if all were supposed to be exterminated. Please note, that I never denied massacres and mass murder of Jewish civilians in other instances. But there was no plan.

I am a german. It strikes me hard to see this, because it shows the ugly larve of naziism in its most unfiltered form: playing Offenbachs CanCan people are driven to their death. Playing Mendelssohn, they are shown playing footbal at the muzzles of the nazi rifles, which are of course not shown. Kurt Gerron was forced by the NSDAP to make this film in order to show, that Theresienstadt or Auschwitz were mere "holiday camps". No lie could be more vile. Good that this film is shown. One year, when a jews film director had to go there, they thought that it would be a good idea to shoot a film (they told him, that when he shoots this film, they wont kill him, which was a lie, because he died a few years later in Auschwitz).

Why do they make laws to protect a story that is claimed to be irrefutable? As far as documents you say, the victorious countries had at the end of the war all official stationary, documents and government seals. Do you think they would not hesitate to make something up? So you went there and saw some old buildings and talked to a few lying Jews. Did you know Germans were accused of executing 22,000 Polish Army officers in Katyn Forest in 1940 ? The area was then recaptured by Germany in 1943, the body's were dug up only to find Russian bullets in their heads. Germany never got a chance to investigate these so called death camps because obviously the war was lost. A legend that has no proof, and for which stupid laws are made to protect should be questioned.

@cweinbl If any of these people died it was probably from the Typhus epidemic in the camps. These so called gas chambers were to disinfect the inmates to try to prevent the spread of the disease, and were never used to kill people. The homicidal gas chamber legend you are referring to is nothing more than a wartime propaganda campaign conducted by the victorious powers. It is unfortunately still used today to extort millions of Euros from Germany, and justify the colonization of the Palestine.

I talked to survivors , who also were shipped to auschwitz. My greatuncle himself was in a concentration camp. And i think i´m kinda informed about all this stuff.

I don't really see why some are upset over this film and are saying it's false. It's obviously false, it's a propaganda film as the information states. This was meant to fool the German people into believing that everything was alright. There is no more reason to point out that this film doesn't show the truth than there is to point out the failure of communism in the former USSR.

I've visited Theresienstadt a few weeks ago..and this film is just absurd and has nothing to do with reality! I get aggressive when I see it and the music makes it just worse!
When I was in the small cells I almost started to cry cause it was such a strange feeling to imagine that all of those innocent people where at exactly the same place where I stood

You were not even born at that time. The inhabitants of Theresienstadt had a quite good life, compared to many europeans in war-torn europe, who were bombed and killed daily. At least people in Theresienstadt lived peacefully and had everything, they needed to lead a normal life.

Anyways, also in Theresienstadt tens of thousands died. Also, almost all inmates were sent to the death camps in the end. So please quit talking bullshit; you sound like a very stupid person.

The Red Cross visited Thereisienstadt during the war, and reported back that all was well.. I know there had been train loads of the sick and dying who had left Thereisienstadt the week before. Can anyone tell me why the Red Cross would choose to conceal what was really happening to Jews to the rest of the world?

Somehow the Nazis managed to make Theresienstadt seem as shown in the movie, they brought the sick and dying to Auschwitz, re-built and decorated Theresienstadt, so when the delegated visited they acually believed that everything was alright. This movie was made after the delegations visit by the way.

they hid the very sick people away from the red cross. they also fed them a little better before the visit. The danes were the main attraction of the visit, and they were pretty peeved that they had to lie but they were rewarded after the visit.

The Red Cross of Denmark was sent to visit to see that the danish jews weren't being badly treated, and the Nazi's sent all the sick, malnurished people at the camps to Auschwitz and kept the healthy ones there, they repainted the place, built nice buildings and cafes and places for the people to work, the danes then came in and saw that it was a "clean good" place and left. The Nazi's then felt that they did such a good job fooling the danes they would make a movie about it. Thats what happened

One of the delegates said that he had known everything was planned and arranged but they had come to Terezin to make sure the Danish were treated well and he was afraid that if he was going to report the situtation, the danes (about 400 in Terezin) would get killed and killing, in general, would intensify. In my opinion, they knew there was some killing going on but didn't know it would result in 6 million deaths.

I have to disagree on the Allies always telling the truth, they had their secrets and modifications of the truth as well.
That film was intended to fool the world into believing the Jews were fine, so they could get people to go along with the plan for this stage (the Jews) untill they got to start with the next stage (Eldery people in general)
Denying Holocaust was never the thought behind it: The Nazis believed they were going to win, what would they need to deny Holocaust for?

This was filmed at Theresienstadt( a hoax camp), it was directed by Kurt Gerron (a Jewish actor & director)In 1944 Gerron was coerced by the Nazi's to make a proganda film to fool the Red Cross, in thinking that their camps were humane, and were not in violation of the Geneva Convention. After this proganda film was made, most of the people you see in the film were sent to Auschwitz and gassed.including Kurt Gerron.

I know of many Jewish families who went to Bergen-Belsen concentration camp and survived from 1943-45 including Jewish babies born in 1943 in Amsterdam, today 67 year old. They were not killed. If a general plan to physically kill all Jews had existed, this would have been impossible.

@IustitiaPax The Final Solution was an eventual plan to kill all the Jews. 100,000 people were executed at Bergen-Belsen and a further 35,000 died of typhus. Many did survive; the useful workers and able craftsmen, but many also died. If you think that the systematic killing of the Jews was no the plan, then your a damn fool (well, so was Hitler and his cronies).

Actually, you should differentiate between Bergen Belsen and Auschwitz, because Bergen Belsen was not a camp for killing them, it was a place, where they should die by working. Of the 5.6-6.5 million Jewish victims of the Shoah, approximately 4 million were gased.1.2 million of the grand total were murdered in Auschwitz. – And contrary to popular belief, Zyklon B was used only in roughly one third of all murders by the use of gas, the rest were killed by motor exhaustion fumes.

@IustitiaPax try to imagine how many people were shipped into these camps every day. Even at times where the allies already were knocking on the doors. So the people who were shipped in the last few months had a higher chance to get rescued by the allies and THIS is why they survived. Another thing is, that the reserves of Cyklon B were running out at the end of the war.

Most European Jews could flee or remained in neutral, Allied or independent non-deporting Axis countries. As for Zyklon B: it was a very common desinfectant. Maybe scarce at the war's end, like all food and produced goods. Please note I do not want to insult any lethal Jewish victims. I only stated I wished more critical historical scholarship. No restrictions to forensic science please.

@mrCululu I never alleged that Hitler made no threats towards Jews. Hitler clearly alluded to the defeat or even the killing of the Jewish "race" in Europe, although nothing was specified. There was no plan. There was no command or order ever given. And a majority of European Jews could flee or were already living in England, Spain, Portugal, safe parts of Italy, Switzerland, Denmark, neutral Sweden, Finland, kingdom of Romania, Bulgaria, Albania, Kosovo, Ireland or Turkey...

But I am conscious that they undertook many attempts to (criminal) reprisals and revenge against the Jewish civil population, and this only as a revenge for the alleged Jewish culpability for the outbreak of the Second World War in 1939 or 1941. @standard888 I know Jewish families from Amsterdam, whose 0 year old babies lived until age 3 and until a suicide in the 1990s, in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. They were not 'exterminated'. In early 1945, famous witness Primo Levi said he was treated for a disease in the Auschwitz camp hospital. Why would they cure inmates, if all were supposed to be exterminated. Please note, that I never denied massacres and mass murder of Jewish civilians in other instances. But there was no plan.
