  • below, americans making fun of other languages than English, claiming their incorrect American pronounciation is correct

  • isnt it supposed to be foh-kay-sha

  • @goneberserk612 no. It's meant to be pronounced Italian of course

  • @goneberserk612 See my reply to "outxrage0uss" below this.

  • @goneberserk612 nope. it's fo-ka-ch(i)a

  • @Kaisergun i thought in italian u dont pronounce the "i" when it's ccia or cio or anything like that

  • @rockkelle yes, that's true. didn't know that before, just learned that today, lol ^^

  • @rockkelle (in school)

  • this is wrong its

    FO-ca-sha

  • @outxrage0uss Not quite, see "ci" is "chi" with a hard ch, like CHuck or CHeese. So "cia" is ch-ia, like Chia pets, but less emphasis on the "i" more of a soft subtle almost "e" sound, just a little blip of a vowel between the "ch" and "a." And the strong syllable is the CA in the middle, not the FO in the beginning.

  • Why have I watched like 100 of these...

  • @PeterKim1230 cause it is funny because he don't know how to say words. Koenig is a funny one.

  • @deereeve idiot its an italian bread

  • @DeeReeve No, those are called Niggers.

  • @DeeReeve it's an italian kind of pie

  • @Brigister It is actually an italian bread. idiot.

  • Comment removed

  • @triz123 With pie I meant a salted "pie", and that's what focaccia is, i'm italian dude, I know it's kinda similar to bread but i didn't know how to explain it, don't know why but "bread" didn't sound like the right word to say it :P

    Brigister 1 sec ago

  • @triz123 well, actually you can describe it as a pizza with salt, tons of oil, and without toppings

  • @DeeReeve lol i think its a sandwich or a type of bread...

  • @sqhschief good. don't come. we don't need your ghetto pronunciation here. so just stay in your shithole and don't come here :)

  • @kazkomape USA USA USA USA USA USA!!!!!!!!!!1

  • This is important: in all italian words, an "i" immediately after a c or g is silent.

This is because the i makes the previous consonant soft.

    For example:

    a c by itself is pronounced "k" [k]

a c with an i in front is "tch" [t∫]

sc by itself is "sk" [sk]

sc with an i in front is "sh" [∫]

    g by itself is "g" [g]

g with an i in front is "j" [dȝ]
