Actually you can safely go 200+ in a mustang obviously not stock. But it's easily possible. I have a mag with the same year mustang, they added their own aerodynamics and put a Windsor 5.8 supercharged, geared it to run the silver state challenge. Pretty inspiring.

Why you say world record? The world record is held by SW whit his single turbo Supra. He recently beat his own record (which was also the world record) by going 246.2mph. And funny thing, he was only at 35-36psi (app. 1295whp) and he can go well over 40psi (well over 1500whp).

It's a record for a Saleen Mustang and not for the mile. I know SW set the record last year...he did it on my tires and rims. This year he brought his own set and added an even higher MPH. Hope this clarify' my post. Thanks
