It kinda seems that way so far, right? It will be interesting to watch how this all unfolds. There is a new VU coming up on Monday the 16th, which is LONG overdue according to most, so everyone is getting ready to do some exploring. :)

im downloading it now. its 8:40 and it says ill have to wait till quater to ten before i can play EU. shit i hate wating for 2 hours. 3 is ok but i hate the number 2. i dont know why

Game is free to download. You can earn money in game (hard, and requires a lot of patience) or deposit them. 1$ = 10PED. And w8, soon CryEngine 2 will be implemented. In month or so. New posibilities, better graphics... etc. Then try the game.
