Actully it does you tools.

1 bag = 18 slots. 6-10gold, let's say 8g that's 144g and he filled ca 24 slots in 15 min. 24 * 8 = 192 *4 = 768g. Even with the run to the mailbox to sent this to your AH char you'll still be above 600gold for that hour.

It depends on the market and the realm. Typically its true you can sell these 10g a stack if they are in high demand. But it's always good to have more options when people start undercutting you to the point it's better of banking them and waiting for another day.

Also, the best time to sell anything for professions is on the weekends when people aren't raiding as much.
