Did you know that there is evedence that an elf-like race might have once existed. Similar to the argument about dragons there seem to be stories of the elves from all over the world even isolated areas. It leads one to beleive that they must be based on something.

Ah, Elves yes! I myself have slew many of elf, about 1000 to be exact. Where I come from we did to Elves as Nazi's did to Jews. Sort of Ironic but oh, well.

I had a strange dream about an ancient race, I believe to be elves or some close relation. What struck me most was one phrase in a language I've never heard. It was something like "Salocal Garovneras" Of course I'm not sure the spelling, just the sound of it. I think it might have been like their creed, ours I guess, since in the dream I was one of them. We like samurai or something, sworn to protect humans and act always with honor. Any ideas??

I contacted an elf thru the Ouija board back in 1993 while in Ireland. It eventually told me it was really a fallen angel/demon that was called "Iele" (or something like that) by ancient Celtic peoples. I never thought of the ancient cultural mythic folktales (about strange creatures and lights in the sky) the same way again.

I have no idea where the elves really started. I do believe they still exist, just in another dimention. Somehow, I do believe that they are identified as The Tuatha De Danaan in Celtic Irish mythology. It was said that the Tuathas were the first to have arrived in Ireland before the Celts did. But it's almost kind of hard to believe. They must have started everywhere around the world. They even still remain a mystery.

Some say the Elves in Asia came from the lost continent of Mu or Lemuria in the Pacific. Malays called them "orang halus" translates as fine people. The human warrior hero in ancient Malay culture, Hang Tuah was taught by an Elven, Sang Persata Nala and a wizard, Adi Petra. There are also othere Elven legends spread across Asia, from Japan to China to New Zealand.

Some parts of southeast Asia used to be the playground of elves. However they shunned human civilization though they existed before humans took over the region. They resided mainly in the mountains or on small islands eg. Mt Wirana in Indonesia or Besar(Big) Island, Malaysia. The best known legend is that of Princess of Mt Ledang: a beautiful elven princess who eluded being captured by humans. One of the Elven palaces had been deserted beneath Lake Cini.
