well ive learned a couple things about fencing (developing in sport, still a rookie) but somehow the mario and sonic at the olympic games version seems somewhat robotic.

and wario isnt even pointing the epee right. isnt it supposed to point to your opponent and not the ceiling?

Hahah. I wish fencing was that simple. I've only fenced for a couple of months, but this is great. A friend of mine suggested the aspect of cow-prods to determine when people were hit, and that's a bit what this looks like. Someone else mentioned there were no parries or repostes. Whenever someone attacked just as the other person did, they parried, causing a delay/recoil for the initial attacker, and had time to reposte. It's not quick and neat, but it's there. It's just a kid game after all.

Eww. As most of you can probably tell by my name, I know a lot about fencing, and this is NOT fencing. What about parries and riposts? You don't see many basketball games that let you tackle other players to the ground, do you? So why on Earth did they portray fencing in such a pathetic manner? This is nowhere near real fencing. I didn't see a single lunge in that. Shuffle? Chop? Attack on prep? None of that was there, and that is real fencing. This is just pathetic, game or not.
