I use Sony Vegas 6, which is actually not the best program for those kinds of effects...I just do a lot of manual frame-by-frame editing with the Pan/Crop tool to manipulate the images how I want :o

I use Sony Vegas 6, which is not an extremely fancy program (and it's quite an old version), but it's definitely a step up from Windows Movie Maker. It allows me to use multiple layers, which is how I do that :)

I see a few videos like yours.. what program are you guys using for the effects? My knowledge is limited to Sony Vegas and Photoshop... neither of which are practical for doing those effects :( by the way, seeing the week 1 finalists.. Well I taught myself Vegas just by messing around, so after seeing what people do with programs like After Effects, I was really determined to accomplish similar motions with Vegas. So in PS I take out backgrounds of my doodles, and then hardcore manipulate them with the Event Pan/Crop in Vegas (and mess around with effects/transitions). There are DEFINITELY limitations, but if you play around you can make some magic :] ...And I was notified yesterday :\ but they might still be asking...Idk. GL!

OH, and I forgot to add that I also use multiple (like a dozen) different tracks in Vegas too, so the layers and layers of images assigned to different motions helps to pull things off too...even though it looks mad complicated haha
