If you look at ancient armenian maps it was in the middle east as well. Some of the food is similar to middle eastern and some of it is Russian too since they were part of the Soviet Union.
@jeffmara the ancient maps are streched from the mediterranean sea to the caspian sea, reaching up well into Georgia and some part of modern day Iran. cultrually and ethnically Armenia is not middle eastern. Our foods are similar to mid east because of arab invasions, along with countless other invasions through the Caucasus throughout the millenia. however in recents times during the genocide, we have armenians who fled to the mid east, who incorperated the mid eastern culture to ours
